The loyalty has gone out of footy it seems. With most people prepared to sell themselves to the highest bidder.

True, to some extent loyalty has gone....But really what percentage of players actually move around from club to club ONLY chasing the dollar?? People will change clubs from time to time for various reasons and money will be a part of it, but when it comes down to it MOST players are pretty loyal to their senior club of choice. I don't believe that a player is obliged to stay at the club where he played his juniors as that generally was a choice made by their parents, not them....

Greenvale under 40pts? Hakim, Jorgenson, Randello, Kuret, Sir, H.Pekes, Potter, O'Neil, Pati....Unlevel playing feilds cannot continue for the GOOD of the WHOLE league.

The info i've received is that ramsay is yet to sign his contract, hence the meeting with marbo park earlier last week. Maybe im mis informed. Turner was on the westy footy trip and apparently left the stars for personal reasons as well.

HAKIM??? He's from amateurs. Jorgenson, Randello and Kuret all less than 4 yrs in the VFL system and if still there in 2009 will be worth 2-3 points only. SIR is that long out of VFL/AFL it doesn't matter (and possibly retiring) H.Pekes didn't play VFL as far as I know?? Potter may be 4 yrs in VFL but don't think so, O'neil will have 2 yrs by 2009 and Paiti VFL seconds only and less than 4 yrs......... Can't be bothered doing the maths but it doesn't add up to that much.
So is your plan to lower the points until no one can have any good players?? Great idea. That's what D4 amateurs is for!!!!

there is also the fact that hakim played about 140 games of juniors at GV.

the new point systems will do nothing to curtail the top teams. Stathmore, Keilor, Greenvale, Oak Park and Doutta's have the best juniors and they are the teams domiated the comp for 10 years. I dont see how anything will change.

additionally the teams with the best lists at the time the system is brought in will benefit greatly, just like Hawthorn did when the salary cap came about.

Hey ease up tiger some of us play D4 ammos .....

Our points system is as follows.

Players that can mark, kick and handball = 4 points
Players that can mark and kick but not handball = 3 points (hello Colesy!)
Players that can kick but not mark or handball = 2 points
Players that can do nothing but complain = 1 point

Players who can use both feet and or hands should not be in D4 ammos so should therefore not count for anything!

Ex AFL or VFL players returning to this standard should have more clearly explained to them the standard and be encouraged to leave, take their points and head of to Strathmore or Greenvale where they belong!

Well, Well ,Well ....Turner has gone back to Westy,Joey And ricky have not signed yet and their is more going on at the stars camp than you think..word is that they have spoken to over 10 players to come over to the stars and have only signed 1 player....seems like not a happy camp so far !!!!!!!!!

This year Keilor will need to make changes and getting a good the Coach and the Coin they pay are the big issues.

I was wondering what is the standard like? i play at RDFL. This is not a post designed to start an arguement of wat is better i was just wanting to know how it compares and how Mooney Valley has gone in the last few years.

Valley are in deep touble......no money ,no good players.will be lucky to win a few games nexy year.I hear Robert Lamberti will be their next year to help out,but will not be playing.this is a good thing as he is a life member of the club and has been playing in the bush for the last 5 years.Should give the club a great lift.

I would say Lamberti has been in the bush for about 8 years with a brief stint at Douttas in between and Blast off if you think he is going back to the Valley's you have got rocks in your head as i heard he is looking at coaching/playing superfools with The Drebster as his assistant.What an awesome combo in the middle,Bernie and Lambers and imagine after the game at Nova they would be like Crockett and Tubbs from Miami Vice

Having the best juniors is the way to go but having said that if the senior team is made up of imports where do the boys who come out of the u/18's play, 2nd's or another club. I know there are boys from Greenvale's u/18's grand final team who have already left and the talk is there could be few more go with them.

Have heard a coach will be named this week and apparently bringing players with AFL experience, This has come from a source not too close to the situation, so therefore do not know exactly who but i suppose we will know within the week, Alot of the boys were down at the club today for a going away party and all seemed very positive they are all excited about a new start with a new coach ,

OK, if you say there leaders that's fine, can all play but remember that doesn't necessarily make them leaders. Sounds like the normally strong on and off the field Keilor football club is in a little bit of strife at the minute, which is kinda pleasant to hear.
