Though in losses you use the terms "they" "their coach" "their way" when (WE) Deer Park lose it's a little confusing ....

So you agree with everything in life no matter what your involvement is within an organisation/ company or team? I support Deer Park. Probably missed 20 games in 10 years.Sponsored the club and love to see them win as we all do of our local footy clubs.What's your point.

I support them win lose or draw. My opinion is what it is, based on my judgement of the coach and his ability to get the best out of the team. "We, us, them" is all relevant to the subject being discussed or opinion made. This doesn't indicate l don't support them it's just my take on the current coach.

It's a forum to discuss games played and an insight to performances both individually and collectively along with some banter also. Feel free to be proactive and share your thoughts instead of picking the eyes out of a comment. If that's not enough for you then jog on or send me a private message and l'm more than happy to discuss in person so you can comprehend my opinion.

Seems a little contradictory.

The 2 dogs and 1 cat were the hangers on. Not many others there and didn't see any of your juniors in attendance looking upto their idols.

Because all that gets spoken about here is :
how good Keilor and Mighty Mick are even though they breached the salary cap, the van full of drinks they take to games for supporters and who can actually beat them

How good Deer Park are supposed to be even though they've recruited big names and still can't fire a shot in premier division

How bad East Keilor are and how they're on the brink of collapse after thanks to some bloke named Pat

How clubs are naming VFL listed players to play thirds just to qualify for finals

How bad the competition is

All it just really is here is a dick measuring contest for who belongs to the better club regardless

I've gone with 18 scoring players. Salary Cap set at $130,000. I did have 3 bench players but I have removed them for now. Any of these details can change if you like.

I think I priced them at $175,000 which is still probably unders. (edit: $195,000 for Seniors, $6000 per Reserve player)

Deer Park have beaten Greenvale & Doutta Gala Stars this year haircut so get back in your little box...

Yep agree with most of your comments here. However, it's the players out and their ability as apposed to those who potentially make up the numbers. Other sides no doubt have unavailabilities probably, but they are their 3 best players in a team who can ill afford to have any missing. Their drop off on Saturday in the second half was putrid and their coach should shoulder some of the responsibility imo.

Makes no structural moves to help the side out and has limited ability to inspire his team. They had the mores fumbling in the 1st 10 minutes of the 3rd and were within a few straight kicks. Then went missing. To kick only 1 goal after the main break was pathetic, but to the mores credit they flicked into another gear and left the Lions in their tracks. Not all lost despite the blowout and still have the talent if all available to sneak into fifth spot if results go their way. Will need to break even with West and Pacco and knock off Greenvale again and Marby in the return trip to have a chance.

Keen to see Abers in the coming weeks and see how they stack with the likes of strathmore. From what l've seen thus far Keilor are a 5-7 goal better side than Strathmore and obviously Abers around that spot also and then there's the rest well off the pace. But anything is possible with a few key injuries to any side.

Firstly who said he was a a bad coach?........ Fairly certain the club weren't willing to pay what he wanted. Let's be honest the calibre of side in the competition they played that year wasn't the hardest of gigs with all due respect to Heath.

Secondly the playing list has significantly changed from the premiership side that year, and they're playing in a far superior competition. Judging any improvement from one year to another is pointless l would've thought.

But as l'm finding out common sense ain't that common on this thread!

Some would say the bulls have gone backwards, but there was a mass exodus from his 1st season there.

Read into that as you will......... In his defence you can't pull your socks up if your not wearing any though!!

He left cause he wanted to take (our)club in a different direction with recruiting youth and young players and build for sustainability in the top flight .... The hireachy and Heath butted heads and off he went ....

Ive spoken to JM he recons next game you climb the stairs and get up in the coaches box and move some magnets ....

Biggest concern for our club is being more consistent in longer parts of the game ....

M.P started slow got back in it at half time only to let 7 goals go through in the 3rd 1/4 ....

D.S game started hot went cold lost the lead during the last 1/4 and finished with a win through a 9 goal last 1/4 .....


Strathmore we started slow got back in the game at half time and kicked 1.4 for the last half of the game against a quality oppo .....

My question to you is this a coaching problem or a playing group problem ....

Played 9 games in 2022. Yep not 3 years 2 your correct but along time out of the game to come back and have an impact, even you would take your hat off for him.
