Deer Park’s big $$ ruckman recruit just announced at Heidelberg West Div 3 Nfnl.
Couldn’t cut it at the level.

Far from a big dollar recruit. Ripper kid who come over to try and cut his teeth in Premier. Wish him all the best.

He left cause he wanted to take (our)club in a different direction with recruiting youth and young players and build for sustainability in the top flight .... The hireachy and Heath butted heads and off he went ....

Ive spoken to JM he recons next game you climb the stairs and get up in the coaches box and move some magnets ....

Biggest concern for our club is being more consistent in longer parts of the game ....

M.P started slow got back in it at half time only to let 7 goals go through in the 3rd 1/4 ....

D.S game started hot went cold lost the lead during the last 1/4 and finished with a win through a 9 goal last 1/4 .....


Strathmore we started slow got back in the game at half time and kicked 1.4 for the last half of the game against a quality oppo .....

My question to you is this a coaching problem or a playing group problem ....

That may have been Heath's agenda but he was after significant coin also. From what l heard and the player interaction throughout that season he wasn't an overwhelming candidate to continue either.

No doubt the players at times throughout this season have been switching off at periods in games, but l also believe as a coach you have the responsibility to engage those players to get the best out of them......right??

When up against quality opposition there are times when you need to nullify their impact and stop or reduce their scoring ability. Having an AFL defender at your disposal is one way to do that. Yes he was used in the game against DS albiet through the entire backline went down. The game at Marby was were he could've been swung back ( move the magnets ). Stood in the goal square for a half when they ( Marby ) had the breeze. Anyway just my observation.

As for climbing up the stairs to have a go, like anyone if the price is right l'm open to discssions. More than happy to share my thoughts if that improves the team.

If Deer Park are close to the mark with 6-7 games to go look out. If they sneak into the 5 with the players they can call on they could potentially cause some damage.

Not fit enough and not tall enough to compensate but will improve as he ages if he stays off the KFC. Gives his all no doubt about that. Put a police uniform on him and he could shoot an episode of 'minder' hanging around the fish and chip shop eating burgers..
