Point system in juniors .....? Can it be done .....? Best bet is limiting numbers of teams clubs can have .... Although the strong will be still strong or stronger ....

I get it in the WRFL

Yes Sunshine and Newport this year are up their in the 18 A's even Newport in the 16'bs .... Williamstown jns from the scores I looked at (could be wrong) took the chocolates in all A grade jnr grades grand finals.... 12s 14s and 16s .... So no real change there ....

My son will be moving next year to Deer Park from Melton Centrals .... To try to play in the highest possible grade at 18 level then go into a stronger competition with a good senior structure minus the reserves which can only get better with more kids coming through .... Is that my ego? His choice and word of mouth from his mates that it's so good also love the fact he wants to play where I had played ....
There’s been a points system in the juniors in the WRFL for years now, unfortunately it doesn’t apply in the u18s so it’s open slather.
That’s why Newport and Sunshine played off this year, Newport recruited heaps from Pt Cook and sunshine got heaps from surrounding clubs

Thanks boof!!

You really need to feel for Keilor “toughest year ever”. They didn’t give up though and hopefully they managed to achieve their ultimate goal of squeezing a quarter million or so into $102,000 for 2025.

Their performance in their up coming compulsory end of season player payment review (as per the fourth part of their punishment) will be league shaping. Would suck if they get a slap on the opposite wrist this time.
Where's Mick's Neck Minute?

"toughest year ever" is extremely rich from a side that competed in the same division as East Keilor this year

Congrats to Mores on taking out the flag!
Keilor just looked too battered by the time the business end rolled around, tough way to finish a strong season.
After nursing a sore head, I flicked over to the O&M Grand Final coverage... and wow, it really puts the EDFL to shame in terms of how they present their premier game. Night and day difference.
Also, can anyone confirm if the away teams didn’t have access to showers? If that’s true, it’s a really poor look for the EDFL.

Yes, signed for 2 years.
I think EK had their toughest year ever! The audacity to compare is laughable, and shows the arrogance!
Keilor now even more motivated to get their bookkeeper to be more shifty and hide those books!
And I think Hillside now in premier could be a point of difference over this side of town. Will they be actively going after any from keilor?

Under 18.5 now in premier could see them go after some keilor juniors as well.

Could be interesting times ahead..

What do you think Hillsides chances are of surviving next year Turbo ? Seems like it will be a mammoth challenge

Actively after St Albans players I hear

Probably going after some 1 pointers as a couple are decent enough to compete in premier and I know off 1 who has played premier already. Good tactic as need to at least contact any previous players as 1 pointers.

Points system forces you to go this way.

Bailey Ryan although signed at EDS will be another.

Im hearing it’s Anthony Rock , one of the best coaches I’ve seen if it’s him just got to get some better players
Great news for the club if it eventuates. Would be good to see the Jets up and about, and challenging once again. They had some superb sides for a 13-14 year period, from 2004 onwards. Must have played in 10 grand finals in that period?
