I'm not sure of the details Colonel just heard the EDFL were not happy about the late withdrawal which is fair enough i guess

Cant blame the club for having a crack, obviously tried desperately to get a team together but just couldn't get enough kids to commit. What value would it give the league or the other clubs by fining a club? The league should be looking at how they can support the club and what both the club and league could have done better to increase numbers.

The edfl could not help it cannot even get enough umpires so how are they going to entice kids to paco

Would have been an opportunity to have a combined club like Airport West and Keilor Park did in U17 2019. They obviously had a fair few numbers to only pull out at the last minute
 
No umpiring appointments available on the EDFL website this week?? perhaps a mouse ate it, thought it was swiss cheese with all the holes in the appointments.

6 field umpires across div 1 & 2 ressies (12 short)
3 field umps across div 1 & 2 U/18's (13 short)
2 field ump in thirds (7 games) (12 short) and no boundary or goals in any game

Not looking good for the league - what has Ian Kyte done giving them a pay cut - This is a disgrace

no umpire at all for the thirds limited for div 2 women and hopeful at best for one umpire prem womens I bet the edfl being the good bloke they are will offer discounts to all clubs for lack of match day officals

Yep you can’t have a game without umpires
 
May get worse. I'm hearing the umpires have told the league they are not accepting the proposed pay cuts.

Ball back in the EDFL's court.

Agree that Most are doing great, especially those that have kept sponsorship levels at or close to 2019 levels.

The league has done zero to assist clubs.

Meese took him to the cleaners today Turbo. What Meese lacks in height he more than makes up for with body work, positioning and strength. Hardly lost a ruck contest. As others have said he’s a beast once the ball hits the ground. Like an oversized ruck rover. Lays some brutal tackles as well. To be fair to Sikora he copped a heavy knock early on when Meese flung him out of the way in a marking contest. Should have been a free kick.
 
Keilor won by the skin of their teeth yesterday I see. Have we already seen Bewick’s impact as Coach?

Yes, following the progressive scores, Greenvale were ahead for virtually the whole game until the last 10 minutes? Jets have put in 2 very creditable performances against Abers and Keilor.

Unfortunately things appear to be pretty diabolical on-field at Craigieburn ATM. Yesterday seniors scored 5 points, and reserves failed to score. Total of 58 goals against. Seems really unfathomable to me after I viewed a very imposing Craigieburn outfit demolish EK just 18 months ago in 2019 Division Division 1 GF.

Those closer to the club than me will probably have a lot more insight into what has gone amiss. I genuinely hope that they manage to turn things around and get back on track. Obviously that can’t be until 2022, and in a lower division.

Stax both these results are horrible for Craigieburn and the EDFL to be honest. Imagine when they play Keilor & Abers.. With lower wages players won’t want to be resting either unless they are sore. To have results like this in premier is horrible. Crowds won’t go to Craigieburn’s games so you will need to do functions or something on that round to get people along.

You wouldn’t even know the price of a hot dog down there let alone what any of the players are being paid & if they took a pay cuts or not
