THE Torquay Tigers will finalise their position on Monday about whether they will appeal penalties imposed for breaching the salary cap last year. The club itself was found guilty of four charges and a player was found guilty of one charge.

Im sure he will apply like every other person who wants the job. Their is no need to rush an appointment as over the next 2-3 months plenty of top coaches will be available. But they will be silly not to go after Rock. Been the best coach in the EDFL in the past 10 years.

we will never know nor will we know sign on fees some are given for last season without playing a game. In an ideal world wouldnt it be great that integrity was part of footy dna when it came to recruiting and payments. If you support a lower div 1 or 2 club you dream that one day you can match the big boys but that can only happen with a level playing field. Clubs could disintergrate without hope and that inevitably leads to lack of competition. Thats why div 1 and 2 clubs have supporters and volunteers turning up every week. Hope and hope that hard work brings success. And not for a moment do l think top clubs dont work hard for their success. Salary caps are as real as conspiracy theories and covid virus.

anyone read leader article by greenvale president today . There is a club president for 20 years believing policing of salary caps not possible.
how can Aberfeldie fined 2017 for going over salary cap of $250,000 possibly recruit for last season and now 2021 and now limit payments to $100,000.

Meese obviously has an impressive record at VFL level but let’s not under estimate how good Browne was for Keilor!
Certainly a 1v1 match up to look forward in 2021!
