Brilliant win by Strathmore over a very good Marby. Mores down by 31 points at 3/4 time and won by 31 points.

Marby looked to be in control at 3/4 time. A great mark to Horne's early in the last gave them a sniff. The midfield of Horne, Iaccobucci, Fitzgerald, Carrick etc took over and ran riot. An incredible turn around.

Greenvale thumped Keilor by 92 points.
Jets were too hard classy all over the park. Which McGuane pointed out in not to subtle fashion at 3/4 time.
Youngter Sam Zumbo popped up with 6 goals. He and Rick Fandrich have added a new element up forward.
Good to see the 2's and u18s get up comfortably too.:thumbsu:

As someone with a keen interest in coaching, I have to say Digby Morrell's address at 3/4 time was up there with some of Mick McGuane's best work.

Piece on Nick O'Kearney on the EDFL website.

Link

Nick O’Kearney has quickly earned the tag as being that 15 year old that is playing for Keilor in Premier Division Football. O’Kearney is not just any ordinary under aged player getting a game of senior footy off the bench and rotating through the forward pocket, O’Kearney is definitely having an impact on the biggest stage of EDFL football.

Hi Guys,l see that a couple of blokes from your league are heading to the Kyabram league, one being Luke Larsen to Nagambie and the other being Ben Power to Violet Town. Both key position players l'm led to believe so just wondering if anyone can give me an insight into their football ability. Cheers

I heard Barnard trained the boys until 9:15pm on Tuesday night, with alot of running involved. Interesting tactic when the eagles are playing DS on biggest ground in the comp against a young/fast team.

What is Barnard thinking????? Running players into the ground for 3 hours on a Tuesday night before the biggest game at the club in 5 years ........

Have been told that players are still sore today!!!!

If the eagles lose, they will be 0-4 and possibly facing relegation, with losses to DS & Paco

Larsen signed late in pre season with Keilor FC under Mick McGuane. Played a couple of practice matches in seniors but didn't start the season in the one's.
I would suggest he found the going tough. Key position - I don't think so!!

Larsen up to his 5th club in 3 years so you do the math. Rates himself big time but not up to A grade seniors, still young so my improve, Just ask him he will tell u how good he is. More of a flanker than key position. Power is a chf has been a pretty reasonable player over the years wont be a superstar but a much better player than Larsen although he is much more seasoned and experienced.

Strange tactic as the week before it was skill errors and Football IQ more than fitness issues.

Barnard's clearly looking at the door surely.

Overheard a conversation in the eds rooms after the game ,barnard asking a committe member about there coaching position for next year.Either craigieburn are showing him the door or he will walk.i thought eds were on the right track with barham ,maybe the committe has different ideas ???????

What club in their right mind would put him on after whta he has done at Craigieburn, his coaching days are behind him one would think

With so much $$ at Craigeburn what the hell is going on?

One could argue that Barnard needs the cattle to be competitive however he spends money on players that are no good

Sounds like scare mongering more than anything.

Heard from a good source close to the club today that barnard will be shown the door and lekkas will coach the rest of the season. Major sponsors, committee members, and supporters have basically said he goes or we go. Some reserves players have tried to get clearances as the reserves coach told them they were for the lack of a better word shit and to go play somewere else when they stuggle to fill a side on a saturday anyway. There 18s and ressys used to be one of the strongest teams in both comps and now the cant fill sides. Cant see them staying up this year and probably wont take long for them to hit c-grade.

Yes Barnard will be shown the door at the end of the season if not sooner. I also believe phone calls have been made to Daniel Nolan to coach the eagles for 2013....can anyone confirm the rumour??

Yes I have also been told Daniel Nolan has been contacted.

A major sponsor wants Nolan and his best mate Dominic Gleeson ( VFL player & current Geelong asst coach ) to take over next year.

Gleeson is a 2 time VFL B&F winner, with alot of contacts and is one of the most respected players in the VFL.
