Pacco battlers? C'mon Turbo, pull the other leg. You guys are rolling in the moolah.

Cmon Stax, just trying hard to keep up with the Abers, Strathmore's, Greenvales, Keilors of this world. It's not easy buddy..
All these clubs have good lights, electronic scoreboards (except Keilor) and lots of juniors they let through the doors paying decent membership fees. Pacco working hard to compete but can't be mentioned as a "big" club just yet. But they doing well as I'm sure you agree which is great for our competetion.

On another subject who uses Crosskeys reserve these days? I always thought Strathmore might look to move there and build a new complex. I know it's not easy to do but think Lebanon reserve would have been great as a junior facility with all there juniors. Boeing reserve is not a bad junior ground but no proper clubrooms. Not much scope to work with at Lebanon. I see all the supporters gather on the hill to watch the footy. That's ok but it's bloody cold and no shelter if it rains.

Anyway just a topic of conversation between us as I'm sure I might cop it from the Strathmore faithful to mind my own business. Lol

Hope one day that Pacco might move and play out of Windy Hill one day. Keep the red & black at Windy Hill.

I
I think Abers have put a media ban on a few of their regular big footy contributors after the weekends result
Haven't heard from puffpuff, mango or prophetic or have they changed their name to tigertony ;)

Nah still here.
We lost cause the ball was a bit flat and the middle was to muddy and that bloody stupid dog wouldn't stop barking in the forward pocket.

They are all down at Clifton Park running a junior footy clinic. Probably charging an arm and a leg so they can go and recruit a couple more $2k a week players.

They have plenty of time when they are winning Lol

When have I ever been on here gloating after a win? Didn't even happen after last years record breaking season!!

Milkman you're not that thick to think tigertony is from Abers are you? You've got your own problems to focus on than worrying about us!!

Douttas beat us fair and square - we've moved on and have a big game ahead of us this week!

And I doubt they'd be satisfied - they'll be trying to manufacture a way to beat Greenvale.

How about Greenvale on the weekend? Backs against the wall at HT and they then blow away the in form Strathmore. It's as even a comp as it's ever been this year.

What an idiot! Slanderous crap as usual.

Actually 50 odd happy kids and parents regardless of the weather today - well run two days by quality people!

I'm sure other clubs facilitate similar programs in the school holidays?

I had 25% of my Under 10 boys participate and they all loved it, helps their development and from a financial perspective - great value!

Agree here puff puff

I also heard from people down at abers that Courtney johns was down the club on Friday or sat morning on the super soppa helping the other volunteers out. Great news from what I hear is a very nice bloke. Yes he probably takes home a Nice pay packet but probably one of few big recruits that do this type of stuff!! Kudos to Johnsy.

Credit for helping outside his contracted duties, super sopper must have run out of petrol as ground was a disgrace, middle was like a pig pen!!. Maybe borrow Etihad Stadium turf ground lights next time

The middle of Abers ground has been like that for many years now and it's a big area. I guess they can't do much though with the turf wickets like other clubs. we lost a player there last year to a season ending knee injury..

Josh Toy was running the junior clinic, must have been punishment for a quiet game on the weekend.

Fair points mate..

I just see all these new scoreboards going up everywhere yet just think councils could do a bit more to improve the grounds that's all. Not just for Saturday footy but even just walking your dog or taking your kids for a kick.,

PS: I do enjoy seeing those electronic scoreboards. Hopefully Pacco get there's for next season but it's a great iniciative for them to hire one each home game. Well done!! They do it tough out there compared to what some of the other clubs have, so go the battlers I say.. Lol

I agree that the councils could do more work on the ovals but they argue that football wrecks the ovals and it not financially viable to have great surfaces that get ruined over winter. Which is a fair point but they could spend some more cash on updating some of the club rooms and enlarging the change rooms as most of them especially the visitors rooms are piss poor. Except for Keilor who have modern change rooms for the visitors .I am not A Keilor person I have just been there recently and was impressed

Think they fixed up those change rooms a few years back but have always been reasonably good. The thing with Keilor is they built great social rooms from the start with that great fireplace, so working on other areas of the club. They need a new scoreboard but otherwise they have everything down there in the village.

headcount and send off did chang the momentum of the game! be interesting to see what comes of the investigation as i think it would be a bit harsh to wipe there score up to that point as it was only about 1 minute after the send off before the headcount was called.
Notice that the scores for West Coburg have been adjusted. Apart from one point in the third qtr and 5.5 in the last the rest has been wiped. What makes it even worse for WC, their player found not guilty at the tribunal. In my humble opinion, the WC score should be fully re-instated. Either the reporting umpire saw a phantom hit, or the tribunal is.........

Didn't see the incident but was told from people who did it was more stupid than malicious and was done within metres of the field umpire who made the report! I'm guessing the not guilty verdict came from it either being the impact deemed to have been very minor or the Keilor player gave evindence to help a not guilty verdict! Unfortunately for west coburg they replaced a player who was sent off and regardless of whether or not he was guilty on Tuesday night doesn't change the fact they had to many on the ground when the headcount was called so it was always going to be the most likely outcome the score was wiped to that point! I personally don't think the punishment fits the crime a fine or only there 3rd quarter score wiped would have been more appropriate but I'm not surprised it's been ruled that way by thE EDFL. 132-36 is a pretty unfair scoreline as west coburg were fantastic but rules are rules I suppose

Considering the player was on the field for no more than 1-2 minute, the punishment don't fit the crime... Would be interesting if it was the other way around, would they have wiped off the Keilor score???
