Abers far too good. McLean, Blackwell and Lynch brought their own balls. Might be unfair, but I thought the Jets tossed it in when it became apparent they couldn't win, which is not Greenvale like.

Neither Reimers nor Campisano played. Big Ryan Allan limped off in the last with what appears to be a corky. Could be a worry for next week.

Thought crowd numbers were poor. I have seen more spectators at many home and away matches.

People boycotting the EDFL maybe Stax? I do have a bit of a following you know. Lol

What's your views on playing premier preliminary at Coburg and Div3 final at Windy Hill. So both GF teams have played all there finals at Coburg so far..

There is no limit to your influence Turbo. Your call for a boycott undoubtedly halved the crowd. That was the major talking point amongst the spectators who did actually roll up.

Would prefer to see the Premier finals played at Windy Hill if possible. The surface is good at Coburg, but I regard it as a souless venue, lacking in atmosphere. Then again the lack of crowd numbers might have had something to do with that.

Agree with you except I thought Mclean was pretty quiet . Charging $15 to get in when you pay nothing all year is to much

Not 100% fit and keeping him for GF if they make it. If true it's a gutsy courageous decision that is the best way forward. Shows why Grant is one of the better coaches..
I'm told he made himself available last week and was told by Grant 1 more week Again this week was available and fit and Grant didn't pick him shows me why Grant is one of the weaker coaches.
Also Grant announced after the game hes not coaching Greenvale next year reckon there will be some happy players at Greenvale

I agree that Premier is most important Turbo, but I believe that Div. 1 and Div. 2 deserve their day at Windy Hill. There are plenty of passionate people in those clubs and yesterday was a fantastic day out at the footy for the GF. Maybe the premier semis should take precedent over div. 1/2 prelims at Windy Hill, but the GF's should stay.

Agree with this. Let's not get too elitist and share the Windy Hill love around.

Agree all divs should have the GF at Windy Hill, but also agree that Coburg is an awful place to watch football. Not sure what the alternatives are, would be hard to charge but i reckon Arden St would be very good.

Small crowds are a concern especially on a non AFL weekend, perhaps plenty went to the races at the Valley. I reckon the EDFL no alcohol policy keeps quite a few neutrals away, i know personally i like to have a couple of beers when i go and watch the footy and could be the difference between if i go to the footy or go to the pub to watch races.

I agree it's great to have a few beers at the footy, but let's thank the idiots who get some courage after a few drinks and wrecked it for everyone else. So it's probably best it's no alcohol as some supporters don't like losing or seeing good players from other sides.

You could buy cans at Coburg on Saturday

Turbo you will like this response. What a great day when greenvale looses. They have poached players for years and called them their own .especially juniors. When in 2nd division they had all in brawls every week and should have been kicked out of the comp. A president that believes that teams like paco should not play in the same league and looks down on so many clubs that it should only be a 4 team competition.Reserves players that get paid half of contracted senior payments what goes around comes around. Two best teams in the grand final with out the bullshit. Also I hope pacco keep up the good work and continue on their way for a long time.

Is Princes Park an option? Maybe Highgate Reserve?

I don't reckon the alcohol availability makes much difference either way. Coburg City Oval is a turn off because: A) if you live in the north-western suburbs it's a pain to get to by public transport; B) Sydney Road and Bell Street are manic; and C) the City of Moreland patrols parking near the ground like they're the Gestapo.

Hey everyone , hope you enjoyed your weekend, I know I did, had a break before the Big Dance on Saturday, no use watching Abers as they were always going to smash GVale
Mighty Mick got a few things up his sleeve for this week

Yep a few of us were stitched with parking tickets on the weekend at Coburg. We were dumb enough to ignore the signs though!

I couldn't believe how easy it was to find a park at Windy Hill yesterday. Did the folk from up the highway book buses or something?

Princess Park would be good but I wouldn't recommend Highgate.

The wind up there back in 2013 impacted all three games that day!

Some interesting "logic" on display here,
it's funny that you knock Greenvale for recruiting yet applaud Pacco of all clubs.

Heard that Grant has left the the Jets. Anyone heard where he will end up and who the candidates maybe for the Greenvale senior coaching job?

Congrats to Abers, they worked hard, played as one and are very structurally disciplined . Their inaccuracy would be a slight concern but they're deserving of another crack at Keilor and will go in with their tails up.
Obviously there's been a bit of talk regarding Grants future but it's looking like changes are desperately needed at Section rd.

What are the changes that are needed at section road? no that Grant has gone.....Who will likley step into his shoes?

I've no idea who will step into the role but it'll be important to build an inclusive, team first environment.
The club as a whole needs to get their juniors back on track as well as they've lost ground to Westmeadows and Craigieburn.

WRFL forum reckon J Cloke "could" be getting back together again with an old coach coming back. Interesting!! Question will be do they have the $$ but hearing they have a sponsor lined up. WOW.

Do you mean J. Cloke going to Spotswood Turbs or the old Spotswood coach going to Craigieburn? They will need to recruit to be competitive in Premier. AH position in 2017 might depend on who coaches as did this year's coach attract a few players to the club?

I can't see any other clubs going backwards. Top 4 will be thereabouts and SM, Marbi and EDS will be stronger IMO. West Coburg have excellent home growns but to take the next step need to attract some quality from outside Shore Reserve. I haven't seen CB this year but can't see them being an AW in 2017. surely they will recruit!

Hey Footy, his old coach at Spotty is moving to Albion for the next 2 seasons after spending a few years back at his home country club. I can guarantee he would have contacted him prior to accepting any senior job. I know he will move somewhere. But let's remember his 35 next year so I don't blame him for wanting a more relaxed comp than EDFL premier league. He did his job for CB and gave value for money no doubt.
