Think he might watch the odd game of EDFL, but that's at Abers with his Essendon mates. Think I seen him interviewed and he goes around to all leagues in different states as part of his role with AFL I think..
Bomber thompsons son plays at Aberfeldie in the seniors ! Daniel Thompson! FACT!

Couldn't see dad coaching against his son unless Daniel goes with him.

Gee, sounds as though Shagger is going to be busy next year.

Does anyone know when the comp B&F is being held? Thought it might have been on Monday similar to Brownlow on the Monday of AFL Grand Final.

Anyone care to put up a winner and R/up?

Winner: McLean
R/up: Foster

Is there more pressure on Potter or Mighty Mick going into Saturday.. Potter with the million dollar list or Mick the self appointed greatest local coach in Australia...

Definitely McGuane, Potter can fall back on having won last year.
McGuane recruited heavily having fallen short in recent times so will have to wear a bit of responsibility if they fall at the final hurdle.

tend to agree and having won 2 weeks ago anything less than a win will be a failure.

Sliding door moment guys. Does anyone agree that if Potter had been coaching Abers for a few years now, they would be going for 4 in a row this weekend?

Can't wait for this weeks GF. Has the potential to be an absolute ripper.

Both coaches have selection dilemmas. Keilor looking to bring back Micca James and Ryan Bathie & Abers with Reimers missing from last week. It will be interesting to see if Reimers does play for Abers, even though he played poorly in the 2nd semi he has the ability to change a game in 5 minutes. McGuane has to be in some doubt as well for Keilor, if fit he definitely plays and it will be interesting to see if Putt & Bathie both play, for mine they'll be too top heavy.

Both teams have potent forward lines. Kefford and Grigg both stepped up in the absence of Kyle & Johns last week and with McNamara they have some good marking options. Even with the depth of Keilors forward line they are still heavily reliant on Galea kicking them a score to get them over the line. The match up of Galea and Allan could be worth the price of admission alone!

Keilor's use of Ogden in the 2nd semi went a long way to them winning the game. Carboni played a similar role for Abers last week and the drive they provide their sides from half back can't be discounted. It will be interesting to see what both coaches do to curb their influences.

Both midfields are packed with stars. Abers midfield are experienced, bigger bodies that will rely on winning inside footy. Keilor have a little more outside run and spread. The ruck duel is also interesting. I think Browney intimidated Mabon 2 weeks ago. Mabon was far better last week and if he can nullify the Browne influence i think the Abers mids can get on top at stoppages.

For mine Abers will have enough opportunities to win the game, its a question on whether they take them or not! Hopefully for them, goal kicking practice has worked this week. I think they'll make the most of their opportunities and win by 2 or 3 goals. Sam Cattapan is my tip for the medal!
