On your theory, do Paco need to remove Hardingham

It's not easy coming back to local footy especially after a year off. He will be better next season.

History will tell you mate, that not paying players what was agreed often takes years to recover from. Players won't want to go to EDS so if they lose a few they will struggle next season..

They had to take a slight hair cut, they were probably being overpaid compared to performance anyway. If i was a player i would be more pissed off with the great team mates who ran off overseas during the middle of the season.

Agree With you but you shouldn't have offered it in the first place. I'm well aware certain players were offered huge money to go there. Some offers were ridiculous mate. So to me that's not the players fault if they accepted it.

I'm sure the club was aware of players going overseas mate. I do agree it's not ideal but these were local younger players so the club would have known.

EDS need to attract back a lot more players that are one and have only good memories of playing with the club. Play more of their juniors and hopefully hang around the 7 to 9 position for a year or two then try and aim for semis in three years.

But then again who knows. They may be able to play semis next year.

You are obviously a star Turbo.

I think 'Big Block' is your first official stalker.

Hey there Silver old mate. It does seem that way as I have no idea where his headed. It's possible his a nuffy stalker.

Wouldn't surprise me if they chased Jobe Watson. Way over there spending yet announced they had signed Dustin Fletcher as well. It just doesn't add up that it was an oversight and the fault of 1 person..People well aware of what they were doing and it's called being shifty and trying to cheat the system as well as do over the playing group.

Maybe so Planks, but that's entrapment and misleading to try and recruit that way.

Anyway this subject has been done to death but not much else to talk about on here. It's very boring ATM..
I can certainly see the club that gets promoted going after a number of the Doutta players. Glenroy look most likely ATM, but the question is will they loose too many players because the players don't want to play in premier division. Be another Craigieburn. If it does happen again, what will the EDFL do. They certainly can't have this years situation continuing every year.

Ronaldson and Kite back to the Roys for 2018. Building nicely the Roys if they can maintain there 2017 momentum and win Div 1. Finals can do strange things to the mind

By the looks of the Eagles side for today it looks like the average age will be about 18 or 19. Points total 28.
That is ridiculously low on both accounts Mel. IMO this will pay dividends in the future. These kids will gain invaluable experience playing in premier and getting an idea of just how hard you need to work to compete with these sides. Short term pain long term gain. CB do have an ability to attract players so 1 would expect them to be reasonably competitive in 2018 back a division.

Hey OTB, they won't learn anything but how to chase players so it's not a good thing to have that many younger players. You need to mix them in with experienced senior players for them to gain anything. They have gone about it totally wrong mate.

What might happen is that these young kids like the feeling and professionalism of premier footy and decide to move to another club next season in premier league. And really who could blame them after what's happened out there. CB have promised to move up and step up, but to me they have gone backwards. Can they regroup next season?? Who would want to go there as the only thing they seem to offer players is decent coin to a select few..What else can they offer a player to go there??

You make some fair points Turbo. I am a believer of promoting the youth and for CB they need to hang onto these 1 pointers. The attraction to CB is a few dollars they normally have to slash around. They have lost some expeience most notablly Josh Young so losing players of that quality hurts. Div 1 footy continues to improve so it will be interesting to see how they go back a level. If young, Page, Robbo and a lot of their kids leave they could be looking at a double drop but that is highly unlikely. Pacco just no good today?

Got down there just prior to 3/4 time. Disappointing last quarter but they were down to 1 on the bench for over 1/2 a game. Foster injured early a huge blow and think Lewis injured early. Shouldn't have bothered to go, as not much atmosphere as not much to play for, so most uncontested footy. Is McGuane staying as Keilor coach beyond this season??

Who put a synthetic cricket pitch on the ground? That ground used to be one of the best grounds so who is responsible for that stupid decision..

McGuane been offered big money to coach St Albans in WRFL.
What exactly constitutes big money in this current local footy environment?

Caught the first half at Keilor, was some contrasting style of play towards the city goals and obvious at times both sides are approaching the finishing line.
In saying that in an ideal world of no list attrition and based on the curtain raiser Keilor is a much quicker turnaround towards a finals push in 2018.

Big Browne's ability to get involved in possession chains amazes me every time I see him.

That's horrible to hear. Should the club cop a hefty fine or team suspension as well? Think it needs to go further than just suspending the player. Thoughts?
The club took the step of removing the team from the competition immediately after the game .They can't control what individuals do on the ground but took the required steps straight away . Good leadership I say

Well if Wallis is supposedly on $70k, I would say something like or greater than that.

Have to agree Doona. Not sure if this is Browne's 5th or 6th season at Keilor. However in my opinion he has been the standout player in the EDFL over that period of time. Top ruckman, creative, excellent around the ground, goes forward and kicks goals. Super player.

Watched Greenvale at AV and it ended up a training drill. Chapman played as a few injuries and illness took their toll during the week. He went ok and kicked a couple of goals. AV looked ok in patches but for the most part seemed more interested in roughing up Greenvale rather than playing footy. Cravino should have been reported for a late charge into the back of a Greenvale player that just took a mark and that started a scuffle. Chappy took on three AV blokes behind the goal square at the northern end in the third qtr. I suppose there was really little to play for for both sides. Greenvale v Craigieburn this week will be a snore fest with the only interest being how much they win by. I would be tempted to rest half the side to freshen up before the finals.

Rubbish mate Fletcher was going to play and then he got the ambassadorial role with Essendon and it did not work out
