Is there going to be pressure on Saadi ghazi next season. Spend big money and still haven't won a final.. Can the afford to keep sending big next year?

Would think Abers will be big spenders again. Big Blake already getting big offers from bush teams.

Could be an exodus of key forwards from what I am hearing. Big Marcus Kenny heading to the country. Matt Little might be doing the same.

Brent Guerra attempting to lure a few big names too after getting a job in the SFL.

Clubs more and more are looking at VFL lists to boost up their lists. If you can qualify them then its a free hit. Don't have to pay them for the whole year and get to have them at finals time. Have heard quite a few at Coburg are looking to play EDFL full time now too.

No pressure on Saadi. He did an amazing job this year. First year building, second year consolidating.

As for players going to the bush, that happens every year. The silly season of recruiting kicks into gear.
Problem with the bush is it sounds good in theory but travelling every weekend 300km is a different reality.

Top 4 for 2015
Strathmore
Abers
Avondale
Greenvale

bloody oath there is pressure on ghazi. rose and galea kick 160 goals between them which is great...but when they don't fire avondale are an average side. the three goal kickers in both final tells a tale...without them two there are no other avenues to goal. hardly a stellar coaching performance imo

Rose played at Wodonga Raiders pre Avondale and kicked over a 100. Heard that he and Ghazi had a big verbal at half time in their last final - his old man was walking around saying he was gone. You reckon the EDFL clubs spend some coin on players - Albury would leave them all in the shade.......

The clubs should look at the GFL to poach players, arguably a better standard than EDFL but the players would get half of what the edfl clubs would pay.

There is no doubt the gfl is stronger as I have seen both leagues, but I would find it very hard to lure players from geelong. Most players in geelong are very loyal and the money is pretty good down there, but you are right the edfl would pay more. The deal would wanna be real good for them to travel up the hwy.

Cant Imagine why he would go to a competition like the RDFL. Big step down. Surely Apw would pay him more than Macedon.

Close to 2k a game and 5k sign on would encourage him to play ? Seems big dramas at Airport West

Spotswood FC look likely to sign Wayne Pattak and Mark Blake from Aberfeldie.
this can't be true with players leaving aber I'm sure when they did there recruiting they would of interviewed these players and pick them up for not just there playing ability, but also there strong reputation as a person of character & they could build a good club culture around
