Hello all and welcome back to another exciting year for potential AFL draftees, this thread will be dedicated to all things draft in 2021 and beyond. Be on the lookout for player notes, rankings and a rolling mock draft which have become a staple and as always I’m happy to answer any draft questions you may have.

Herbert moved pretty well, 19 year old so as a smaller mid he might be up against it to stand out to recruiters but playing more games like that every week won’t hurt
Do you think other NAB League clubs are going to go so heavily with the 19 year olds similar to the Falcons today?

Maybe it's just because of the Covid impact last year and will settle down in a year or two?

Yep every club is going hard with 19s, they didn’t get a real chance last year so they deserve the spotlight this year

What sets Arlo Draper apart from the next player mate? He’s one I like the sounds of

He looks a complete package for the modern game. Good height + talent + athletic ability and can genuinely hurt the opposition in all 3 areas of the ground.

He has huge upside and was easily the most stiff to miss the AFL academy

In comparison to the top handful of mids, why could he go #1?

Horne annihilating Darcy Fogarty by all reports, best on in the first half of Rnd 1 so far.

Just an all round outrageous prospect.

so many strong kids in this draft and not gym/fake strong, bone structure strong.

From a North poster at the ground:

* 33C day. Autumn in Adelaide.
* Played in the middle for the majority.
* Almost has a second gear when it comes from running away from his opponent. He was burning away on the wing & it looked like he was about to get tackled from behind & he just flicked the afterburners on. Seeya later. Inside 50.
* Lightening quick decision maker.
* Pushing Fogarty around
* Hard tackler. Took Fogarty down on the Crows defensive 50 which resulted in a turnover & almost a goal.
* Second & third efforts exceptional.
* One kick in the second quarter was a 45m bullet. Would have travelled the whole distance no higher than 10 feet. Was from a standing start as he’d just taken a mark & the man on the mark was non-existent. Sighted an option & bang. Resulted in a shot on goal.
* Second quarter again, dodged around two players & snapped a goal from 35.
* Probably best on for the frost half.

I don't know where you got that from but I watched the whole game and they rarely crossed paths, Fogarty played mostly forward in the 1st half for the Crows with a couple of squirts in the midfield before spending more time in the midfield in the 2nd half especially in the last quarter. Horne looked to spend some time on Jackson Hately if anything and was certainly influential but hardly B.O.G that would have been a toss up between Joel Cross and Bryce Gibbs. Still a damn fine effort for a 17 year old mind you.

This is all false. Sonsie will be the player for north.

Saw that Billy Kolynuik was named in best for the Jets. Is he related to former Dogs player, Steve?
