Except Langford is considerably biggerSimilar to Langford last year which for his position is not the worst we have seen
Rodriguez and Langford had very similar results although their was poor conditions last year which led to lower times than usual.Except Langford is considerably bigger
A better kick and way better overhead
Also from memory Langford had really good endurance, not sure what Fred is like in comparison
Not sure about being a better mark and Kick but yes he is 5-6cm tallerExcept Langford is considerably bigger

I think one of the issues that has him going lower than his current output is that every club just about has a player already in his preferred role as that bigger contested/defensive midfielder and most players in that position are also not considered stars of the competition but the ones that are like Green/Rowell have one very elite trait.Highly value your opinion mate so curious to hear, very obviously the biggest knock on Sharp are to do with his translation to / future in the modern midfield game; athleticism, outside game + spread, kicking, etc.
Is there some truth to the idea that maybe that is all a little bit overblown?
The eagles thread right now is absolutely blowing up with Sharp discussion, and I can't help but feel that a lot of the knocks on him are rather arbitrary and based around the future of the game, and the list builds of successful teams, not him as a player. The idea you can get his type of player late in drafts, or that the inside pig isn't valuable anymore. Its a different story with a pick 2 compared to late teens, but Murph last year for example was the obvious 'footballer' pick rather than elite athlete and has only served to remind people of the value of a good footballer first.

Sharp I feel will be a very good midfielder but likely not the best midfielder in that teams side so clubs would also have to weigh up if they want to use a top 5 pick on a player that is going to be good but potentially not great.
He could very well become a 200+ player and even win some BNF’s so as much as I wouldn’t take him at my own club personally I don’t think any club would be upset to take him.
Schubert 100% tested at 194cm at the combine. A lot of the other players are around 1cm difference anyway which doesn’t effect many of them although it certainly does for Schubert as a potential ruck relief.Interesting that Twomey has O.Taylor at 183 now whereas his last edition pre combine had him 182
Maybe its just a rounding thing. Schubert the one thats really different still here though
Might actually be 180cm?Latrelle Pickett - 170cm
Hmmm. I see one AFL article with 170, but thenNah 170cm
Those articles are probably using the same original source that was incorrect, while eDPS has unofficial access to the official draft combine measurements, that were conducted a couple of weeks ago.Hmmm. I see one AFL article with 170, but then
Ideally, the further he slips the better for us so we’d be hoping that he gets through to RD. But I’d assume we’d be prepared for a mid-late bid in any case. Can’t see us not matching. What are your thoughts on whether Dogs take Will Darcy in the ND, or hope that he gets through to the RD?
He's not a better kick than Fred Rodriguez. Period!Just to comment on Harvey Langford posts from yesterday: he is an unreal kick in the AFL, already approaching top-tier. Has a happy knack of making the ball act like a feather in certain circumstances and like a bullet in others, by foot. A very damaging player already. As a career projection on the basis of this past season I would have him ahead of far more heralded kicks in the league who are a much further into their careers. I won't name them because I'll probably be laughed at; part of it is his decision making about when to kick and where to kick to under pressure compared to these other "elite" kicks. He came into the league a far more rounded player than most and it shows. This could change statistically a bit when he takes on more midfield responsibility but he is awesome as a kick right now, as he is in basically every other area.
A superb talent for the Demons.
