D_P_S - just clarifying, are you not ranking players you haven't seen yet?

Further to that point, I am not going to comment on overall standings across the country yet but surely relative to WA Jason Carter and Dillon O'Reilly are ahead of other WA players such as Sydney Stack and Durak Tucker? O'Reilly in particular is statistically more significant than either of these two and possibly Tom Joyce, having already played WAFL seniors and kicked 49 goals from 19 games at Colts level.

Haven’t seen Carter or O”Reilly, I have heard how good they are but because I haven’t seen them I can’t rank them yet

Nice work D_P_S

Question. What position do you see Thomas playing at AFL level?

Inside mid who can swing forward but I could see him in that Shaun Burgoyne role playing wherever the team needs him most. Think he has the tools to be a damaging inside mid so that’s where I’d look to play him

Thanks mate. I've only seen him 3 or 4 times and he's always played off a flank and to be honest hasn't overly impressed me. Good to hear he has long term midfield capabilities. If our first selection is before a bid on Thomas (as I assume it will be) our thoughts on long term midfield potential might influence our first pick (may go tall).

Played in the middle at times in the all-stars game and he looked the part in there, very clean hands and good movement in traffic, I’m hoping he plays a lot more in the guts this year

Agree - a Lukosius/Thomas combo would be a great get to add to LDU this year.

Can you see Quaynor pushing into the middle or staying back most of the year?
I would prefer him down back, I haven’t seen him play anywhere else but what has him so high for me is how much better he got down back as the year went on. On of his best traits is his ability to play on talls and smalls which becomes a non factor if he plays midfield.

I like that you have Lachlan Sholl at 26, an under rated player it seems to most. I think Curtis Taylor will be top 10 by the draft.

Sholl is the player im most looking forward to seeing early on this year, he looked a nice size last year and considering how light he was ill be intrigued to see if has grown more. He would have claims to being one of the better kicks on both feet in this draft, i wouldnt be shocked if Taylor is top 10 he has a bit of Cam Rayner in him.

Not sure but is Sholl a father son option? I wouldnt compare him to Rayner at the same time in the season. I would say that Sholl has more zip and dash in his run. But as for game presence Rayner has it over him.

I see Jake Riccardi is back at the Cannons as a top ager. I have seen a few of their training runs and he is looking good. I think he would of gone close to being at least a rookie last year.

I meant Taylor as a comparison to Rayner, Sholl plays nothing like them haha.

Riccardi i think was close to getting picked its hard to find his best spot but i feel his best games have been down back.

I think we are still to see the best of Taylor, so top 10 could be top 3.

Not quite sure on Stack, but Tucker was very solid as an underager in the championships last year playing his part in an impressively strong defence and then finished the year with a promotion into the Peel seniors which is a good effort considering the Fremantle alignment. Joyce also had a terrific championship also being one of the most prominent underagers who went around then went back and played an integral role to East Freo's colts premiership.

Carter has a fair bit of hype about him due to his early prominence as a scholarship player from a couple of years back and certainly possesses the desired athletic attributes, but cant help but think it's a bit in excess of what he's produced so far.

O'Reilly had a very good year in the colts, but even for underagers there has been numerous cases of prolific goalkickers at colts level that for whatever reason didn't make a seamless transition beyond that. This year he'll get more exposure to tighter defenders who are a better match for him physcially which will allow for more accurate conclusions to be drawn as to where he sits in the overall scheme of things.

What's made you go with M.King over Lukosius?
His height I feel will make him a harder matchup at the next level and he has great mobility for his size I see him as another Daniher. It will come down to personal preference for who would rather Lukosius or King and I couldn’t really begrudge anyone who prefers Lukosius.
