Pies and Blues could definitely use him. Unlike Scache in his draft year Max King has shown a hard edge in his game, he doesn’t mind tackling hard and getting into the opposition. He screams gun forward to me and anyone who needs a key forward in the top 5 would be kicking themselves if they passed on him and he became someone like Daniher or Hipwood
This is a key in any discussion where Schache is concerned.

Imagine having all 3 Hills at Freo and getting Carter later, now that’s some bloody excitement haha

Yeah it’s nothing serious in the early going just a way of getting a few names out there and trying to put my recruiter cap on for each club
If we take iHill we'd certainly be pushing the shortest team in the league. Especially if Crowden and Giro become players.

Still perfectly happy for us to select him though. Looks gun and seems to be about the best i50 kick in the draft.

Have you seen much Carter? We have like 1 clip and a few training reports. I'm interested to know if he can hit targets.

Carter is playing today for the AFL academy I’ll be having a watchful eye on him

Yeah I’m going to the game myself I can’t really on their Foxtel listing haha
Foxtel have kindly decided to replay last nights game (again) instead of showing the Academy -v- North VFL curtainraiser.

Now I realise that’s a far cheaper option for Foxtel but wouldn’t the AFL have an interest in gauging pay TV market interest in curtainraisers?

Particularly given the rise of AFLW and the likely return to AFL reserves football. If there’s an appetite for viewing non-AFL level games, wouldn’t this be a chance to test it?

I think Walsh would be a good fit for Brisbane as I don't think they really need a key forward right now, and a midfielder like Walsh is a safer bet anyway.

I really like Walsh as a fit, but we'e probably 1 key forward short since Dchache left. We have Hipwood then the cupboard is bare.

Don't you have that Bellender guy who looks promising?

The thing about high end midfielders, compared to high end forwards are they are, baring injuries, essentially sure things. You know Walsh is going to be a good to very good player, but guys like Max King have a larger question mark around them.

Connor Ballenden perhaps?

I’m sure he’s not a “bell end”.

Pretty damned impressive that a bunch of 17 year olds are beating a team of men (many of whom are AFL listed men). I wish Foxtel didn't decide not to broadcast this match as I want to see how Blakey is going.

Didn't do a lot but kicked a good goal if he is a left footer or a sensational goal if he is a right footer.

To be honest I am not sure.

Out of interest was he played forward or in the midfield because there has been some confusion about if he is a forward or a really big midfielder?

Thanks
