A potential bolter is Sam Ramsay, averaging close to 32 disposals a game in the last 7 games and looks to have taken the Vic Metro snub as a motivator .

A speedy player with a great long left foot kick on him, he looked a pure outside type but has shown he can win his own ball in the midfield lately.

His kicking lets him down, impactful forward of centre and by hand but can turn it over by foot. He has a burst from stoppages but doesn’t use it often enough I don’t think, still like him in the 25-40 range.

Thanks mate. Imo he is a very well rounded footballer, surprises me that so many other players with obvious deficiencies get ranked a lot higher than him!

If more kids got drafted out of wa or sa compared to Victoria in a draft. Serious questions would have to be asked of talent pathways. Melbourne is 4 times the size of Adelaide and Perth for starters

Given Victorias greater population & participation rates, then there's no real statistical anomaly here.

Actually there is a statistical anomaly

WA has around 1 million more people than SA with Perth around 700,000 plus more than Adelaide.

WA also has a higher rate of people playing footy than either SA or Vic

And Perth has around twice the number of colts teams than Adelaide.

Fair play to you sir.

However, I meant from the Victorian dominance of the numbers perspective, obviously.

Might be time for WA to get a metro and a country squad also. Would be interesting to see how Competitive WA would be having 2 teams and a much smaller population.

Not sure TBH, north of the river and south of the river may be the way to go, maybe that would also be quite even population wise for the state, i do think its just a matter of time really.

My September rankings will be out tomorrow, my top 3 has been unchanged since June but I’ll have a new number 3 and only one player has come out of my top 30 but is still firmly in the mix of it.

Victoria won seven of eight consecutive championships before it was split, and Vic Metro seven of the following ten - WA has a while to go yet.

A lot of players played as expected today, Bergman was always going to have his quietest game for the year after I put him in my top 30 :p

Byrnes and Mott look like good value inside mids in the late 2nd round onwards if their finals to this point is anything to go by

Finns last 5-6 weeks of footy including his carnival has been every bit as impressive as Rowell and Anderson. I follow the NAB league closely as a very good friend coaches in it, and I’ve been really surprised at Finns development, reminds me so much of Oliver’s 2nd half top age year.

His game against Eastern wasn’t so impressive but he is certainly one of the better midfielders in this draft and he just oozes leadership. Exactly the type my club Essendon needs but is destined for the hawks (shakes fist)
