If the young Minton-Connell gets drafted, which 4 clubs will he play for?
Missing metro selection will hurt his chances of the main draft but as a rookie it would be any of the club’s wanting some midfield/forward depth, might need to top his old man and aim for 5 different clubs ;)

Hahaha.

Needs to find 5 different clubs as Carlton, Sydney, Hawthorn and Footscray are done.

Missing out on the main one won't be an issue.

Who would be the 3 or so top outside mids on a Wing
A few can play down back and may play there more often at the next level but the top few would be

Ash
Sharp
Bianco
O’Niell
D.Stephens

And a few a bit later with the first two playing mostly down back this year
Rivers
Butler
Ralph-Smith

Daly Andrews any chance as an over ager?
Caught my eye on occasions with his run and carry last season...

1) Ash is a half back and plays defensively with rebound, he'd blow up if he was on a wing

2) O'Neill is an inside midfielder accumulator, he doesnt have the run and carry to be an outside mid

i wouldnt mind seeing Josh Worrell play Wing if he has the endurance

I would be suprised if he got picked up, best chance as a 19 year old would be Hirst from the Metro side of it since he was the only 19 year old who was picked for Metro trials.

Yes Ash is a half back but I see no reason as to why he couldn’t be used as a wingman if needed

O’Neill is too light so I don’t see him starting his AFL career as an inside mid better chance he starts on a wing.

Worell started the year on the wing but struggled to win a large amount of the ball, looked more comfortable when moved to his preferred role down back.

Hey eDPS , asked Slight of Pie the same question but given you have Trent Rivers on here on what I assume is limited viewing, have you had a chance to see Liam Henry from our NGA this year or heard any whispers about him. 24 touches and 4 goals on the weekend and has had a good start to the season. Looking forward to seeing him in the Champs

Saw Rivers in the all stars game last year and liked what I saw, looks like he has started the year in good form aswell

No idea with Henry sorry I’ll be waiting till the champs like most to see how he goes

Just curious on what resources you guys use. Had a horrible time of it trying to follow the progress of a few players I have an interest in. Especially info relevant to SA based lads. Cheers in advance.

SANFL has all stats that helps but if you want actual summaries on how they perform I’d speak to Chris25

Watch sanfl games live or league pass

Follow stats on sanfl app to all levels under 16’s and up

Follow Chris25s thread here with regular updates on sa kids

I keep this thread relatively up to date with players in the mix, measurements and stats. Otherwise as philthy said, the SANFL website is good for stats. And the bigger names can be seen in league matches and at the U18 Championships. Following the SANFL U18s can be difficult from afar though.

Rowell is the best inside midfielder, comfortably.

There’s more to it than contested possessions and clearances.

Rowell might be the best two way midfielder we’ve seen in around 15 years.
Better than Sam Walsh ?
