I watched a few NK games towards the end of the year and I quite enjoyed the glimpses of Bowne, he wasn't the most consistent but he really had that X-Factor, I hope he gets picked up next year.
Heath Ramshaw is one not on this list I'm interested in, I liked what I saw of him last year
At this stage I’m not sure. I didn’t watch a lot of QAFL this year, or much of the two academy games.
For me, it was Coleman or Abberley who stood out more from the little I did watch.
I know Quigley is not that impressed with Michael, from watching the two academy games.
If it was me, and they all went undrafted, I wouldn’t have rookie listed any of them, as they can all return as U19 academy kids, and we retain the ability to match any bid next year.
We also drafted Harry Sharp, who is a pretty raw winger, but a good runner, so I don’t know what the club is thinking.

Two really different players there. I understand both attracted interest from AFL clubs in the lead up to the draft. Bowne is born on Dec 31, played some good practice games earlier in the year, x factor a good description has a really nice burst of speed and good skills, had glandular fever in 2019 and I think came back to play the last two games. Ramshaw a real powerhouse type player, not sure if he played more as a defender or as a mid in his bottom aged year he covered the ground well in games I saw. He has some good skills off the boot and is a real competitor. I think he could become a solid inside mid.
I watch a bit of the Knights and the other 2021 19yo player who I like is Josh Watson. I have not heard much of him in 2020 and thought he may have been a smokey chance in this draft. Not a flashy player but a hard working inside mid who has a decent tank and looks a tough player

Definitely agree with this. Flagged him as one to watch by picking him in a Phantom Draft early in the year but unfortunately he never got the opportunity to show his wares in 2020.
WhSydney is the only Northern club with an available spot.
We’ve already announced our U19 squad for next year (basically every U18 kid who didn’t get drafted this year)(We rookie listed Carter Michael btw). That means none of them are able to be signed by another club during the SSP, nor are they able to enter the mid season draft.
I would expect St Kilda to take at least one undrafted kid. I hate to say it, but potentially Max Heath.
I hope yourself or ADC keeps us updated about which, if any, kids join clubs as train on players during the SSP.

Must be some seriously "big" boys Max Heath and Henry Walsh.I know a lot of the websites had him at 82kg but I'm pretty sure that was from last season?

As discussed on the Lions board, most probably lack of exposure this year.
Hard to draft a kid like Max Heath off the back of one preseason game.
Henry Walsh is an aggressive beast too! I scratch my head with the lions decisions.

Henry Walsh is a pure ruck, Henry Smith is a Forward/Ruck way more than handy up forward.
The coaching staff clearly prefer a certain type of player for ruck, one who is capable of playing third tall regularly like Oscar. Smith is more similar to Oscar, compared to Heath and Walsh. I reckon if Shannon Neale was still available, we would have chosen him because he's also adept at playing forward.

Round 1 in the NAB League will be on the last weekend in March. Still starting around the same time as any other year but the fixture will look very different to accommodate the spilt with school football and more players playing with local junior clubs.

My 2021 thread is still in the works and might not be ready for the start of the season but when it is I promise it will be worth it. The format will likely remain the same for every other draft thread I make from here on out

Got to see a practise match between Gippsland and Dandenong last night, not many players really stood out but my main 5 where Miller Bergman, Judson Clarke, Connor MacDonald, Will Papley and Clayton Gay.

Not too big bodied, he needs to be able to cover the ground as well. Definitely two areas of need though. Campbell Chesser I like the sounds of and sadly Sinn might come in to contention this season as that HBF/mid type. Hobbs, M. Johnson and M. Roberts and B. Andrews to keep an eye on.
Where is Deven Robertson? Not up to it?
Outside observers are in the dark due to COVID and also our media department are well, sorely lacking. There are his supporters on BF though and want to see him get a run this year. Only way is injuries sadly IMO.
