Was really looking forward to Cox taking on callow, Ugle-Hagen, thilthorpe and McDonald at champs.

Cox vs Ugle-Hagan was a great contest in the practise match I saw, both had their wins against eachother. Cox had a field day once they moved Ugle-Hagan around for the hell of it

Yeah Cox played really well in the praccy against western, was the general and controlled the whole back line cutting off most of the jets fwd entries.

You put your thoughts out about that game but can’t remember everything you said but how did the rest of the Knights go and what was the score? Knights beating Oakleigh really surprised me going into the game

The Knights were pretty impressive for the first 3 qtrs, i think they got out to a lead of 40 odd points. They took players off in the last qtr ( Cox, macpherson etc), jets kicked 4-5 late goals and the score was something like 80-65 at the end. Northern dominated out of the middle, against a pretty substandard midfield that the jets have.

Yep they were both in there but Macpherson played up fwd, kicked 2 goals in the first half.
Didnt see much of Kolar but McMahon took a few nice grabs.

Yeah I watched the 2nd half of the early game. Northern had some really impressive & eye catching small/medium types, I didn’t have access to a player number pamphlet so I don’t know who they were. I have heard northern have a very impressive bottom age crop and I made notes to keep and eye on them throughout the year( before corona happened ).

Yeah they have a very strong bottom age contingent maybe the best they have had for a very long time.

Not enough of your board checked my thread last year it seems I was talking up Butler since he was in the 16s but more as a midfielder rather than a half back, hoping the doggies don’t leave him down back.
