I’ll give you 3 smalls...

Smalls
Bailey Laurie 20-40
Blake Coleman 20-40
Tariek Newchurch 25-50

If we’re talking the best, then Corey Durdin needs to be mentioned. As good as anyone on talent. He’s the one I’d want for Fremantle, pair him with Liam Henry and some of our other NGA kids.

And get around Logan McDonald. Looks a top 10 talent to me. Pains me to say it, but even pre injury he was ahead of Kaine Baldwin.

Durdins size and lack of athleticism hurt his chances in going high for me, usually you see players at his height have a point of difference at the next level. He has great tackling pressure and knows where to run though so if he can develop a bit more athleticism I could see him making it as an AFL small forward.

I’m with you on McDonald, certainly deserves to be in the conversation. Really hope to see how he goes with contested marks this year, if he starts to really clunk then he will be hard to ignore.

7 out of 10 marks were contested yesterday against West Perth playing League.

Did Trew, DGB, O’Driscoll also play League?
Neither DGB or Trew played in the unofficial scratch matches for League as Swans didn’t have a game yesterday. the west’s wrap up of the game didn’t mention O’Driscoll playing for perth

I don’t think Durdin goes early, but I think he’s better than a lot who will probably go before him.

Which is usually the case for those smaller and smarter players

I think he compares well to Brent Daniels from GWS, I’d have him in the 25-40 range.
Daniels tested far better athletically than Durdin, has him covered in every athletic test bar leap which Durdin doesn’t use enough anyway (Now that could really set him apart if he used it)

Um, bro I do like your work, but....

Yuk!

So close, but so far.

Gold Coast need a tall defender, we need a tall forward.
I’ll never please you so I’m not going to bother :p

lol.

But it’s so simple. Only two little words. Just say them.

Finlay Macrae.

I promise, you’ll feel better. Well, I will.
You will have Dumesny and like it!

Daniels is electric.

I think Jack Mahoney is a better comparison.

Speaking of future drafts, wait for 2023. Kid called Tyzreise Clark will come through West Coast NGA (they won't get dibs in draft though). Last year, at 14 years old, he came 4th in the Kalgoorlie Colts best and fairest, which is a fairly competitive non-state competition. Kicked 73 goals in 15 games in his own age group too. Has been breaking athletics records so is incredibly athletic.

Will end up at Subiaco in the next couple of years

I think the chances of the NGA still being around in 2023 is almost zero.

There's a tiny possibility it's even removed for this draft, however we are probably too far down the line to do that to some clubs.

I'd say there's an 80% chance we don't see the NGA in the 2021 draft.

The jungle drums are already beating regarding it's removal between clubs and the AFL. Like the VFL zones, there's simply terrible inequality in the zones between clubs. If it ran for 20 years, there'd be 3-4 clubs incredibly on top in the number of recruits.

Wanted to ask, obviously we've seen Dumesny and Poulter move up for you with the two SANFL rounds so far, any other SA prospects that have made progress in your rankings further down? Lachlan Jones has impressed me, and as someone that was sleeping on Newchurch previously he's another that has made significant movement.
On the flip side I've been underwhelmed with Schofield so far
