Yeah Heath certainly isn’t an English type, a bit more sturdy.A tall and skinny ruckman like English.
Good that Smith is in because with Schofield out it would only leave Poulter as the main player to watch for Woodville.Interesting to see WA boys named in the League teams Logan McDonald named at Full Forward for the Perth Demons and Denver Grainger-Barras named on the HBF for Swan Districts.
Also on a personal note keen to get a look at Henry Smith in his first appearance for WWT U18's in 2020 at full forward....see if he's beefed up some more since last year?

I think the AFL may have changed up because of that swans/eagles trade you brought up, I think it’s highly unlikely crows bid with 1 anyway but who knows they may work something out but it just may depend on how the AFL is feeling and if they will agree to certain trades going ahead because at the end of the day they will adjudicate what they want.eDPS .. I just asked nightmare this but as you are still on ..
Re the in draft trade rules ...?
If the Bulldogs feel that the Crows are going to bid of JamUH at P1 then what the rules on them trading out in the trade period then trading back into the draft once the dogs have taken Jam with those later picks?
I know it got tightened up after WC and Syd did their little in draft dance....

Personally I think they will just keep their pick as is and just cop wherever the bid comes.True I guess , if the dogs trade out of the R1 .. its not like everyone will be stupefied at why? I acknowledge a top5 bid will still mean a lot of points for the Dogs to find
Think it’s a dollar a day so watch it on the day and then it’s really only a dollar a week all up.Won't you need a "The West Australian" subscription to view the games but? $7 to watch 1 game a week is it?
Doesn't read that way on their website, you would think the WAFL could organise a simple deal like the SANFL not for a media outlet to have to cover it, surely they're no more cash strapped than the SANFL?Think it’s a dollar a day so watch it on the day and then it’s really only a dollar a week all up.
I’ll take what I can get, I’d happily pay to get footage from WA.
I thought it was something along the lines of you couldn't trade in a pick that was earlier in the draft than any pick you used to match a bid but when I looked for the info recently all I could find was an article saying you couldn't make 2 seperate deals with the same club during the draft.eDPS .. So it stops the 'parking' of picks that Sydney did but would still potentially allow us to trade our first for a future pick then use that future pick to trade back into the draft after a big has been matched with later picks.
Not sure if this is actually the case but can't find anything more definitive.
This is what it should have been...I thought it was something along the lines of you couldn't trade in a pick that was earlier in the draft than any pick you used to match a bid...

It's looking that way. Thanks for that
To me there is no doubt that Jam gets a bid early ..ist just a matter of where... A lot depends on points required etc ... and where the Dogs finish. Jam could be the earliest player to ever be bid on.
The other thing that the AFL doesn't seem to have dealt with is trading out future picks when there is a points deficit. This is what it should have been...
...but this is what it is.
It's a half-assed measure that doesn't actually address the problem, it just requires a third party be drawn in.
The AFL wanted to look like they were concerned with integrity but actually favour the draft night drama.
If I were Brisbane, I would genuinely offer our two 2020 first round picks for Sydney’s future 2021 first round pick and current 2020 third round pick on draft night.
And then look to trade back in to the second round for a specific player.
Joel Western was bog, standard game from him reallyWho were the standouts from this mornings game if any?
Thanks for the reply, good to hear Western stood out, the word is that he will slide to the late rounds/rookie draft because he’s too small but I hope we give him a spot on the list somewhere anyway. He probably needs to get a few league games to climb up the draft order?Joel Western was bog, standard game from him really
Matthew Johnson looks a good midfield prospect for next year, 192cm
Jacob Van Rooyen was a strong target up forward who is another for next year
Not many others really jumped out to me
His draft order is hard to read especially for his size and being an nga player should be bid later than usual anywayThanks for the reply, good to hear Western stood out, the word is that he will slide to the late rounds/rookie draft because he’s too small but I hope we give him a spot on the list somewhere anyway. Sydney’s second is an early pick, let’s say pick 21.Why not grab a second instead?
