I hope you don’t eDPS, thought I’d give this a crack as well.

I’ve picked my team with a definite bias towards how Brisbane play, and the type of players that suit our system.

B: Lachlan Jones, Denver Granger-Barrass, Oliver Henry
HB: Brandon Walker, Nikolas Cox, Connor Downie
C: Eddie Ford, Tanner Bruhn, Braeden Campbell
HF: Blake Coleman, Logan McDonald, Archie Perkins
F: Jamarra Ugle-Hagan, Riley Thilthorpe, Errol Gulden
R: Max Heath, Will Phillips, Nathan O’Driscoll

B: Zack Reid, Finlay Macrae, Zane Trew, Zack Dumesny
Definitely one of the best I've seen on the board. Does this not include injured players? Because Hollands is an obvious omission haha

I have a question. If a team was to draft Thilthorpe as a ruck resting forward?

eDPS mentioned no injured players in his reply post to the op.
That was for an all-stars later in the year, still deciding on what I want to do with the best 22. Might go with a more balanced side rather than all my favourites

If I was to include Hollands, on team balance, I’d probably have to swap out Eddie Ford.

Small forward was the problem for me, as I’m not sure if there are any elite players similar to Henry or Pickett from last years draft.

Ended up going Coleman and Gulden, because I want them to have top end athletic traits, as well as being skilful.

Keen to see your team Pie 4 Life.

A quick look so probs missing one or two. Tried to go more balanced.

B: Lachlan Jones - Denver Grainger-Barras - Zac Reid
HB: Brandon Walker - Nikolas Cox - Connor Downie
C: Errol Gulden - Tanner Bruhn - Nathan O'Driscoll
HF: Oliver Henry - Logan McDonald - Braeden Campbell
F: Eddie Ford - Jamarra Ugle-Hagan - Archie Perkins
R: Riley Thilthorpe - Will Phillips - Zane Trew
INT: Max Heath - Alex Davies - Finlay Macrae - Tariek Newchurch

EMG: Tom Powell - Blake Coleman - Zac Dumesny

That's just at first glance. I would probably sneak Powell into the 22, but you can't have that many inside midfielders. I'm Vic Country bias so would also love to squeeze the likes of Ginnivan and Maher in there somewhere. I've also been a bit cheeky because I know both O'Driscoll and Campbell are flexible enough they can player multiple roles inside or outside, and it allows the pure inside bulls to go to work. Gulden I'd love to see set free on a wing, don't care about height. Though he played off HB for the Swans on the weekend and I like that move.

It goes without saying Hollands would be in there and depending on the opposition would either replace Ford (two ruck opposition) or Heath (one ruck opposition). Yes I am thinking about it too much now.

Do you think Alex Davies is more a Cam Ellis-Yolmen or a Ben Cunnington?

I haven’t watched Alex Davies, so can’t comment.

If he’s similar to Cam Ellis-Yolmen, I wouldn’t be prelisting Davies

Now that Ellis-Yolmen is playing for the Lions, I’m not a fan.

I know the guys on the Lystics AFL podcast referred to Davies as a rawer version of Jack Bowes.

Does anyone know where I can find a family ties article?

Normally, Callum Twomey would publish one each year but there's nothing.

Players with family relations off the top of my head

Elijah Hollands son of Ben Hollands, Richmond player (no father son as Ben had a limited career)
Luke Edwards son of Tyson Edwards, Adelaide Player
Taj Schofield son of Jarrad Schofield, Port Adel Player
Even McPherson son of Steven McPherson, WB Player
Maurice Rioli Jnr son of Maurice Rioli, Richmond Player

Oliver Henry brother of Jack Henry (Geel)
Finlay Macrae brother of Jackson Macrae (WB)
Blake Coleman brother of Keidan Coleman (Bris)
Josh Green brother of Tom Green (GWS)

Ira Jetta, not sure, but possibly related to the couple of Jetta's in the AFL?

Thats all i can think of, happy to be corrected.

Have all but Blake and Josh in a post in one of these threads I think.

I couldn't get access to a paywall but I thought I saw Logan McDonald being a great-nephew of St Kilda's Ian Cooper.

Who are the X Factor type players in this year's draft?

hollands, ford, ref mciniess and Perkins in top 20 I suggest in this order respectively.

myself pick 1 Holland’s
pick 2 if get it mcdonald
gws pick tanner brunn
pick 20 Eddie ford

He looks amazing but at 1 off an ACL would be a bold move. Still if you get 1 & 2 then it’s not as big a deal.

I'm a better chance of getting with a supermodel than Adelaide has of getting pick 2 for Brad Crouch and I am no looker. Nobody is going to offer Crouch $1m+ when he has hand prints on his back.

That AFL formula that determines the compensation is heavily weighted to getting the result they want.

So I’m sure Adelaide will apply for a compensation pick, on the basis of a disastrous season, then to be turned down by the AFL commission on the basis that they made a Grand final 3 years ago and that much of their issues Now are self inflicted.

Privately they recognise the troubles Adelaide are in. So, when Adelaide ships off Brad Crouch, maybe even pays part of his new contract and the AFL then decides that the formula has conveniently calculated a first round pick for his loss to the football club, given his age, contract size and whatever else they need to do to get it over the line.
