I would do it because I think they'd be better off taking a KPD over Thilthorpe - whether that's Reid, Cox or Chapman. So if you can get that player at 9, why not gain an extra trade piece in the mean time. Or because for the Suns, I'd be just as happy with Powell or Bruhn instead of Perkins.
You don't need to defend if you have King, Thilthorpe and Rankine kicking 12 goals a game between them.

Can someone with a paywall access please post these articles?

Because it's effectively our Christmas, the big announcements keep coming - Draft Central is heading to YouTube!

We've got our Draft Night coverage coming up next week, so you'll see eDPS and myself answering questions and talking content, but we'll also have some videos up in the meantime.

We're excited by what we're keen to do next year, and honestly we're hoping to provide everyone with some awesome shows. We're pretty lucky by being able to keep the site and content free, and we can do it by getting numbers such as our Draft Guide downloads and now subscribers to the YouTube channel.

A guy at work doesn't reckon we could get 1000 in a year, so if for no other reason for me to prove him wrong, would appreciate some subscribers.

We're also open to suggestions for shows/content you might like to see.

If you're keen to see some pretty cool stuff, this is the link to subscribe to us :)

Yeah honestly we are just ramping it up to 100, like taking any show ideas or anything. We used to enjoy Future Stars for example (interviewing players and reviewing rounds and what not), is high up on our list of stuff to do.

We're happy to canvass ideas of what people would like to see and what we could do, but certainly keen to have more video content. Having help from a graphic designer and videographer means we have some pretty awesome looking content.

Who'll be the hosts of the channel?

Have you the official list of nominated NGA and Academy draftees yet Pete?

Brodie Lake the main one I'm interested in?

Not entirely sure what you mean, but our main goal is to provide some different content. So like any YouTube channel, but have draft related content (as well as other sports related content where relevant), which can be in the form of shows or interviews/videos etc. I was merely saying we're keen to see what people are interested in and we can look to implement aspects on there.

Last time I asked a couple of days ago there hasn't been anything. Now that picks have been locked in pre-draft, hopefully we hear something the next day or so.

Brodie Lake will be in the open draft.

Suns will pre-list Fyfe, Nichols, Davies and Jefferies. Those are the ones NOT in the draft nominations database

Where can I find this database without a paywall?

Kevin Sheehan is the OG Talent identifier, he and Michael Ablett were the best Talent Identifiers i have seen over a long period of time.

This guy is / was the best at talent identification.

Old Shifter always has 20 guys that he would call a top ten prospect and 35 guys that were potential first rounders, of which three would be from the Allies.
Shifter should have been in the Diplomatic Corps.

Michael Ablett was good at pointing both the strengths and weaknesses.

I will be posting my phantom draft on Tuesday and may update it for the next day if I hear anything substantial. I won’t include live bids just to keep it less complicated. I’m planning for it to be a full phantom draft aswell not just the first round like it has been all year.

They want their northern states teams looked after doubt that they look after they’re pet teams GWS and Gold Coast
Brisbane is well look after.
Craig Cameron dealing with players movement very dodgy especially with teams such as Brisbane and Geelong . Eagles don't count because Clayton era .

I’d love some relatively in depth content. I’ve noticed that Twomey will gloss over the more complicated aspects of topics like matching bids and points ect. I still like his content but I think there’s room for that kind of discussion as well, especially the AFL can be a bit obtuse in communicating how those rules work.

It's interesting that for our podcasts we did the other day I worked out all the maths, had it perfect, but then realised you had to allow for players who had already been bid on and those picks removed to shuffle the order. Ie. I had worked out exactly what Sydney needed to match Campbell and Gulden for example, but then you have to keep in mind that JUH is off the board so the Dogs picks go, and by the time the Gulden bid comes in, Jones, McInnes are off the board so some more out. It is quite complicated, but once you do it chronologically, it's good.

We could do an explainer video just say a few minutes literally discussing the bidding process and the complications around that.

I wonder how that works for the recruiters? Would they have specific software to keep track of all that? You wouldn’t want to be fiddling around with a calculator doubling checking your maths on draft night with bids and live trades.

Yeah they would surely have software that would automatically adjust the points and allow for that. It would be a simple Excel macro type thing set up. IF Pick 2 is removed THEN Pick X, Y and Z are removed moving Pick A, B and C to Pick D, E and F type thing. It would take a hell of work, but easy enough for someone to have chucked a heap of macros and formulas in. The AFL would have developed it.

Would be nice if they made it available publicly. Like you suggest it would be a simple program as opposed to proprietary software and would be of interest to the media and public.

Anyone know if there is a Mock Draft generator online?
Someone was creating something on Twitter I remember seeing. Honestly it's probably something we could do for next year pretty easily, just too soon now, but if no one has, then we could do something for 2021.

That guy creating the one on Twitter anticipates it'll be ready Monday/ Tuesday I believe

Sounds like Hamish is every chance to bid on Jamarra.
