Hey come on they have way more players than anyone for me to do haha, here is a list of said players for now

Jamarra Ugle-Hagan
Will Phillips
Reef McInnes
Bailey Laurie
Finlay Macrae
Connor Stone
Sam Tucker
Maurice Rioli Jr
Dylan Thomas
Fraser Elliot
Lochlan Jenkins
That’s gonna’ take you a while! When do you think you will have it posted? I appreciate the work you put in for us.

Yeah, Thilthorpe is at the top of my wanted list for Brisbane.

Not sure how we manage that, as I can’t see him sliding past Adelaide or Sydney (which ever finishes in the bottom 3 or 4).

I haven’t seen Baldwin, and an ACL does concern.

If we go a tall with our first (Port) pick, I wouldn’t mind Eddie Ford at our natural pick, especially if he has the scope to play on a wing in our system.

Hope that Swans are looking heavily into Thilthorpe.

Baldwin and McDonald also viable option.

Another swingman in Reid to annoy some swans supporters.

With our two academy prospects hope we go for Thilthorpe or Hollands if there at our pick

Where do you see the Swans finishing?

My guess is, if a team wants Thilthorpe, they have to finish below Adelaide on the ladder. He looks like one of the top 3 non academy tied kids at this stage.

Unsure, really depends on how the season turns out. Expectations would be around bottom 3/4 to 9th or so. So from pick 3 to pick 10.

My prefers in order:
Thilthorpe
Holland
Bruhn
Phillips
Baldwin
Reid

Have the nice fall back on having academy prospects of Campbell and Gulden

I have a feeling if the Swans finish close to 9th, a bid for Campbell possibly comes before their first pick.

Might need to try and trade up, like GWS and Carlton did last draft, to get ahead of the bid.

Or trade it out for a future first, and try and then trade a couple of early second round picks back in.

Not hugely bullish on swans this year. Not even sure how they really get season done to be fair.

Bids have usually been later than expected, hoping that continues this year

In one sense, both GWS and Carlton getting their first pick ahead of a likely bid, disincentivized clubs bidding early.

Queries
Kicking

- The most exciting player in the draft pool Ugle-Hagan is just about impossible to stop when he is up and running with his speed of the mark and vertical leap making him a nightmare match up and with his scope to put on even more bulk over the years he looks set to dominate the AFL landscape. Kicking at goal is sketchy but he is a player that draws attention already from opponents and crowds alike and I see that continuing for the next decade

Will Phillips (AH)

Queries

Kick to handball ratio
Scoreboard impact

- Phillips will become a darn good AFL midfielder he has the skills, smarts, balance and running patterns to be a high volume ball winner the main thing now will be to work on scoreboard impact and getting more kicks than handballs to get more hurt factor in his play

Reef McInnes (AH)

Consistency

- McInnes has played all over the ground with his size and athletic attributes proving him a handy and versatile player but he has done his bets work as a tall inside midfielder and his Metro futures game really showed that where he got 24 disposals, 6 clearances and 9 tackles. A December birth aswell so still plenty of upside left for the pies NGA member

Bailey Laurie (AH)

Production

- The number 1 candy seller in this years draft Laurie plays at his own tempo and with his agility is able to evade opponents with ease and make the right decisions with ball in hand. Mostly played on the outside last year and will be interesting to see if he ends up on the inside over the coming years but he has assets suited to both roles and has played on every line so has the versatility aswell

Finlay Macrae (AH)

Midfielder
DR: 10-25

Strengths

Queries
Contested game
Consistency

- Macrae is a very efficient player who plays to his own temp and makes the right decisions more often than not, lacks that contested/hard edge which keeps him away from being a top 10 prospect for me but a lot of his traits still translate well to stoppages

Connor Stone (AH)
188cm 81kg
Forward
DR: 15-30

Strengths

Queries
Production

- The only player so far to only have the one query he doesn’t have many glaring issues, he is a great athlete who is good overhead and at ground level and looks to have the tools to play in a range of positions, played on the wing in a practise match and still suffered from that production issue which is the main thing holding him back

Samuel Tucker (AH)
197cm 87kg
Tall Utility
DR: Late

Athleticism

- A good size player who can play just about anywhere I wasn’t sold on him last year and certainly not sold on his practise matches where he looked slow and could have gone harder at a few ground ball contests. Has some talent and his versatility and size are his strength but as a slower tall will need to work hard on his contested side once he puts on some size

Maurice Rioli Jr
173cm 73kg
Small Forward
DR: 25-55

Strengths
Tackling Pressure
Forward Craft
Speed
Clean hands

- A player for tigers fans to get excited about, Rioli is a special little player who isnt too dissimilar to Tipungwuti, small in stature but a tackle machine and highlight reel all in one

Dylan Thomas
185cm 76kg
Forward
DR: 30-60

Strengths
Vertical Leap
Speed
Upside
Overhead Marking
Clean hands
Versatility
Defensive Pressure

Queries
Consistency
Decision making

- A lesser known player but a real live wire up forward in the practise matches playing similar to Chad Wingard as that athletic forward who can play small and good overhead, played one game last year down back and looked just as good winning 21 disposals

Fraser Elliot
188cm 88kg
Midfielder
DR: 45-Late

Strengths

Queries
Upside
Speed

- Elliot is an interesting type, one one hand he looks to lack a lot of standout athletic traits but on the other he is terrific at winning his own ball and is generally clean with it and a good size aswell. He was a talented Basketballer before focusing on footy

Lochlan Jenkins

Scoreboard impact

- Jenkins is at an awkward size, despite being at a similar height to Rowell he doesn’t have the same sort of impact to make up for it, has good speed out of congestion but didn’t really catch the eye in the practise matches and might need to start lifting his hurt factor to balance his ball winning ability

- Perkins has shown some midfield signs but would have liked to see more of his midfield craft, as a forward he has a lot of tricks with his leap and power making him a hard matchup so even if he doesn’t become that powerful midfielder he would still be a highly touted prospect maybe just not enough to push top 10 on that alone

Jake Bowey (AH)

- Bowey has shown a lot of skill and dangerous ability forward of centre although his radar was a bit off at times last year, his size will hurt and although looking nimble I wouldn’t say he has the outright pace compared to theirs of a similar height

Discipline* Gives away some silly free kicks, 50m

- Lord is certainly a long term prospect but has something to work with with his size and willingness to compete at ground level and overhead and might have some potential as a defender aswell, production is the main issue and he can be a little undisciplined but that’s not a major issue as it shows he has a bit of fire in him which you like to see from young talls

Fraser Rosman
193cm 81kg
Forward/Wingman
DR: 25-50

Strengths
Speed

Upside

Queries
Production

- Rosman had the potential to be the Miles Bergman of this draft as a player that’s ranking grew as the year went on, he has elite speed and a great leap and certainly knows how to use them, a player with huge upside with his kicking to tidy up a little and overall production but he was a live wire in the practise match I saw early in the year

Luke Cleary
189cm 79kg

- Cleary is a dependable defender who is calm with ball in hand and can play on different types of players, was impressive in the practise match I saw early in the year where his class and skill didn’t go unnoticed

Darby Hipwell
181cm 80kg
Midfielder
DR: 40-Late

Strengths
Stoppage craft
Production

Queries
Kicking
Upside

- Ive had high hopes for Hipwell for a few years, didn’t have the underage year he would have hoped for and was overlooked for the Academy Hub with his kicking the big one to improve but it looks like he has taken it as a motivator and now looks in ripping shape and was an absolute ball magnet in a practise match early this year with his kicking notably improved. Looks to have the drive just needs to keep showing improvement In his overall impact with his possessions

Max Heath
202cm 89kg
Ruckman
DR: 45-Late

Strengths
Competitiveness

Queries
Endurance
Production

- Heath certainly knows how to make an impression, he was a force in the practise match I saw early in the year his aggression in the air and even at ground level was very impressive and even his smarts and skills looked fairly sharp for a player of his size, his endurance is way below what’s required at AFL level but with his size and marking ability he would be a handy option as a ruck/forward

And that’s it for the Victorian sides, the Allies players will be next then SA and then WA. Don’t expect them to come out as quick as these did as i go back to work tomorrow

Quiet year for Sandringham? Seems a bit thinner on top end talent than usual.
Think they run a bit deeper to compensate, the likes of Cleary, Rosman, Heath had the ability to climb up not to mention father-son McKay showed a bit in the practise matches and Lachie Carrigan is a very high upside type that could have climbed up if we got a full season in. Their bottom age talent is stupidly good though and would keep them from slipping too much this year.

Does anyone have access to the herald sun article today naming their top 25 prospects for the year. Interested to see who they included..
I saw it, said Sam Berry wasn’t a good kick and instantly closed the article

Yeah that’s why I was interested haha some of the journos who write the articles have little clue.
I think a lot of the summaries where based on statistics

What’s the TSL standard like, compared to the NEAFL?

I would say better than NEAFL but by a small amount.

A few ex afl players scattered about.

Edit: link to match

And highlight of Callow's three
