Are the Poulter measurements a typo? Like how is 190cm/66kg possible?
That’s what he measured at the pre-season testing which is weird since he was 191cm and 74kg last year

I suspect he will be closer to 192cm 76kg when the end of year testing is done

But can categorically say, our recruiters wouldn’t do it.

Not unless Brand grows 8+ centimetres and turns in to a top key forward prospect.
Josh Eyre it is then!

If ports lockdown medium defender gets bid on in the top 15 the nga system should be packed up ten minutes later

if he wasn’t an nga there would be about 2 blokes who could pick him out of a lineup

i actually like him but no way he would have this much attention.

******* reef McInnes. Dude was a chance to challenge pick 1 this year if he went into the middle at Oakleigh. Pies have kept the media real quiet on him this year.

port have been dealt a rough rough hand by the nga. Milera taken from us. Parfitt possibly could have been our nga. west Adelaide is zoned to port so that would be izak rankine. By everyone else’s rules they’re port players.
Then we get a good nga and he’s exactly the type of player that flies under the radar every single year and he’s been hyped up and gone from a bloke no one even knew when you lot did your phantom to a pick 15.

You're not serious surely...

A member of the victorious SANFL U16 Championship team in 2018 and played in the U17's Futures game Grand Final day....that's not exactly flying under the radar?

State coach Tony Bamford :

“He’s a very good modern-day rebound defender who can also get it done one-on-one either deep or high,” Torrens University SA U18 Coach Tony Bamford said.

“Lachlan has a penetrating, 60m kick and attacks like your Heath Shaw (GWS) and Darcy Byrne-Jones (Power) type defender.

“He is as tough as they come – he’ll develop well physically and has elite speed coming off half-back.’’

Not in the top 10, there's better options imo
As a young and fit key forward I think he might be around the mark especially if he is set to play senior football for Perth this year. Might be a little early for some but in the case of the Hawks I think he brings some much needed key forward depth with players like Lewis not being a forgone conclusion as being capable as the main target. Patton’s injury woes another thing to consider.

I agree a young tall forward would be great, I just didn't love his champs last year, I would be more keen on Callow, but that's my personal preference.

what pick did he go in the phantom draft here again? Actually he might not have even been taken.
defenders often fly under the radar especially shutdown guys ie not the running high possession guys like ash / young.
he’s drawn extra attention because he’s an nga player.
I really like the kids potential, I think we’ve got a good one. Over a year ago I was here telling everyone that jones >>> taj.

Reminds me of a slightly shorter Bunga Hurn at the same age?

Reckon he might go around the same mark in this draft as Hurn did in his draft year?

I watched a lot of Hurn play for centrals in his draft year. He was way more advanced. Grand final (or one of the finals maybe at footy park but sure it was the grand final) he let loose one of the best kicks I’ve ever seen with my own eyes. Sounded like thunder when he kicked it, reckon that ball was never the same. Blew my mind. Was already a good interceptor.

That suggestions a bit ridiculous tbh. Of course he's going to rise in the eyes of draft watchers with a league debut and 3 solid performances at seniors level, he's drawn extra attention because he's one of 4 18 year olds playing league

Jones has a lot of potential ‘points of difference’ that help his cause

An elite vertical leap which can be huge, he could end up like Jeremy Howe down back being able to play on talls and smalls and also offer a lot on the rebound as he will back himself to win the ball himself and create.

Increasingly looks like Sydney is going to shape this offseason.

Now likely to have a second pick before the Campbell bid, but with Gulden from anywhere from a 15-35 selection, they will probably have to trade someone significant to make up that short fall. Papley is the obvious one. Could they even engineer a second pick before the Campbell bid from Papley currency? Maybe.

Given they are likely rebuilding, they won't want a Fremantle situation where they could be knocked back a crucial spot next year.

The question is, are they DGB's likely home given they are taking Campbell? DGB and Gould are two nice additions in consecutive drafts.

Or Thilthorp if Adelaide don't take him?

So... we trade away a known quantity proven at AFL level, for a relatively unknown entity.

Likely to play out that use first, trade for picks in second round to make up deficit and take a smaller deficit next year.

Hollands or Phillip if Thilthorpe isn't there.

My point is, given where you are likely to finish next year, any deficit is not a good result for teams likely to be at the pointy end of the draft, as Fremantle will prove this year.

Dropping a pick position isn't a good situation to be in if you finish in the bottom 5.

You in reality probably need at least 4-5 x 2nd and 3rd rounders to match a bid for Campbell in the top 6 and then a top 30 bid for Gulden, whilst taking a player ahead of Campbell.

I guess you could trade 2021 picks back into 2020.

Trading your 2021 first for one of Geelongs picks could be an option.

If I were Brisbane, I would genuinely offer our two 2020 first round picks for Sydney’s future 2021 first round pick and current 2020 third round pick on draft night.

And then look to trade back in to the second round for a specific player.

that would be horrendously dumb on Sydney’s behalf

they would be swapping their 2021 draft pick which could be very high for 2 draft picks that will be eaten up by their nga matches.

they’re going to have papley most likely ask for a trade and quite possibly George hewett who’s ooc could ask as well.

That’s could backfire horrendously. Sydney with all their players back in 21, plus another year into their young players they could easily make finals.
