I already knew what to look for with Claremont so tried to focus more on the Swans players. The jumpers made keeping track of players early on a nightmare and the one sidedness of the game didn’t help either.Assuming you watched the Claremont v SD game today, who impressed you? Logan Young seemed to have a big game stats wise
Like the Lane mention, kid sounds pretty impressiveI already knew what to look for with Claremont so tried to focus more on the Swans players. The jumpers made keeping track of players early on a nightmare and the one sidedness of the game didn’t help either.
Zane Trew was the main one for me that impressed with his clearance work especially since Claremont dominated the hitouts with Lane again superb in the ruck.
Young is a great size and a smart player with a good workrate but his speed and agility are pretty bad and his kicking isn’t great either, still a late draft chance for mine.
Wasn’t sold on Ty Sears but I’d want to reserve better judgement on him playing in a better side in a futures game of some sort.
Western was again great before HT when he got injured, 2021 prospect Van Rooyen a strong target up forward but not sure on his athleticism yet and the other 2021 prospect Bazzo looked ok in defence and looks like he may really develop into a genuine tall key defender.
One of the better ruck prospects this year it looks likeLike the Lane mention, kid sounds pretty impressive
Sucks to hear that Young isn't very fast, was someone definitely on my radar stats wise

Would you have mcdonald ahead of DGB at this stage? One of the better ruck prospects this year it looks like
Yeah can’t always go off stats although they can help, when your a kid who is 191cm and 88kg already you can expect them to perform well against young bodies especially in the midfield.
Will see when up updated rankings come out tomorrowWould you have mcdonald ahead of DGB at this stage?

That’s if Adelaide rate Thilthorpe as number one on their draft board. If Logan keeps this form up he could quickly come into calculations for Adelaide at pick 1. Definitely rawer than Thilthorpe and has more upside.
Yep I’ve discussed that on here previously. It all comes down to who they rate more obviously, but if Mcdonald keeps up this form it’s going to make it really tough. Thilthorpe doesn’t have the speed to be a full time key forward and I think he’s a tad undersized as a Ruckman that doesn’t possess a massive leap. Will be interesting to see how both their years play out. That’s if Adelaide rate Thilthorpe as number one on their draft board.
That’s a rather contentious argument in itself on the Adelaide forum. Thilthorpe or best mid available.
And that’s not even the misted heated discussion.
To Bid on JUH at pick one, and remove the burden of being pick 1 from who ever they pick, in the city of Adelaide, is the most intense discussion.
Can watch his game yesterday on 7plus. He has really taken his game to another level from last year. The way he was able to use his body in marking contests to protect the drop zone was something you don’t see often from an 18yo playing against men. He clunked 4-5 big contested marks inside f50 and played like at 26yo in their prime, his kicking is much better that JUL.Is there any highlights on McDonald? I’m interested to see who you guys think his comparison at AFL level would be? He’s pretty much a mirror imagine in terms of height and weight to JUH. Do they play a similar game style ?

When JUH kicks his set shots he definitely needs to work on his routine. I think it’s something he can easily improve just needs to work on the basics like his kicking routine. Seems to get too close to the man on the mark. Can watch his game yesterday on 7plus. He has really taken his game to another level from last year. Maybe if he was able to have an even bigger year, I’m pretty firm on JUH being the best talent in this draft. If Elijah Hollands hadn't done his ACL do you think he'd be in the pick 1 conversation?
McRae ,Bruhn and McInnes all well and truly top 10 picks my mail is 2 of these three will go very very early it’s good to see someone’s opinion and the effort putting this in I would love a greater understanding as to how you have ranked these kids
3 bids before the cats pick makes it 14 and Tanner Bruhn still on the board. Everything working out better than expected.
You keep talking up Bruhn especially as an early pick.McRae ,Bruhn and McInnes all well and truly top 10 picks my mail is 2 of these three will go very very early it’s good to see someone’s opinion and the effort putting this in I would love a greater understanding as to how you have ranked these kids
I’m a fan of Bruhn but he needs to put some runs on the board to justify someone taking him that high. Expecting big things from him in the couple of games he plays for falcons. You keep talking up Bruhn especially as an early pick.
Can you elaborate please. Top 5. Top 10. First round?
For each of the three.
Unless you know who each club actually plans to draft, you can’t say that about 3 players.
His injury history doesn’t help eitherI’m a fan of Bruhn but he needs to put some runs on the board to justify someone taking him that high. Expecting big things from him in the couple of games he plays for falcons.
Yep a junior player that is constantly injured doesn't bode well for when they become a full time footballer. His injury history doesn’t help either
