No thoughts on Lachlan Jones moving up a bit?

Can you expand to top 40?
I think Carroll and Poulter have more midfield potential but not the game breaking ability up forward that Ford has.Hey eDPS time for me to consider a slightly wider draft pool beyond Eddie Ford and Finlay Macrae.
How do Caleb Poulter and Jack Carrol compare to Ford in terms of potential and best position at AFL level.
I know it’s a hard question to answer with Ford not playing.
I have searched through your thread and read your posts and player profile for all three.
And are there any other mid/half forwards that might be in the same ball between 15 and 25 range.
A bit of talk on our board that we might look at another back flanker with top line speed who can break lines.
But I haven’t read of any non academy tied players that might fit the bill from SA or WA in that range.
I don't mind it. I think eDPS could be on the money.
Thilthorpe will not get past the crows.I think this is the draft that the Swans go for a KPP. I doubt Thilthorpe will get past Adelaide's pick, but if he does I'd expect us to snap him up, otherwise I'd tip us for Denver Grainger-Barass or Logan McDonald. The last few drafts have got us covered for mids, Stephens, Warner, Rowbottom, Florent, we've got Campbell and Gulden via the academy. Blakey, Heeney, and Mills are cycling through there at times. We could use a top level big bodied mid but I suspect we'll target somebody like Constable via trade rather than picking somebody up in the draft when there are KPP's that are elite and fit our needs.
Guess they will need to weigh up where those players are likely to get bid on and how likely they are to go into deficit with the picks they have. They won’t want to go into deficit with such a strong draft next year so it will be interesting to see what they do although I think with what they have now it should be enough to match the bids while also not going into deficit.Good work.
What are your thoughts on Port trading out one off there picks considering any bid on Jones will move them back? Would they be able to and have the points for Jones and Schofield.
Port has picks 25 and 27 in the 2nd round and some 3rd round picks.
Good work.

Could probably trade up to a mid first rounder with those picks, trade with the Dogs so we get a few more points and you get a first rounder in that's hopefully before Jones?
I don't think the Crows will take Thilthorpe with their 1st pick but time will tell, I don't see him as clear number 1 pick in this draft and I doubt Hamish Ogilvie would think so too. If he wasn't a South Aussie I'd be extremely confident of that.Thilthorpe will not get past the crows.
I’m expecting crows will end up 1 & 2. I expecting Hollands at 1. There is not much separating Thilthorpe and MacDonald who are different types of forwards. Crows have been on record stating they take the local lad first if they are equal to other high prospects.I don't think the Crows will take Thilthorpe with their 1st pick but time will tell, I don't see him as clear number 1 pick in this draft and I doubt Hamish Ogilvie would think so too. I was very surprised for twomey to say he thinks western goes really early without mentioning Brandon walker. I think a bid will come for walker well before western. No league call-ups for Western or Walker this week eDPS, might shill out the $7 to watch the colts game.
Hope Western gets a league call up before long, wasting his time in colts (unless we've asked him to stay there to keep dat price down).
Twomey gave Western a shout out today in the draft podcast but I'm not sure if that's just reading stats or actual recruiter word of mouth
It was a weird throwaway comment and from my limited knowledge I would agree. Find some of the ratings of Western a bit weird though. I get the size is a concern but he’s legit probably the best colts player the last two years, dominates every game but struggles to get into peeps top 40. Don’t pretend to be an expert though so I’ll defer to you guysI was very surprised for twomey to say he thinks western goes really early without mentioning Brandon walker.
