I was annoyed that happened, was looking forward to the great Macca sending it to level 4 cheer squad.

Cost us the game, if Mcintosh takes it, he kicks the goal, then gets confidence and goes on to kick 10. And yes the umpires are incompetent, McIntosh was lining us before the ump called Edwards over to take it.

A caller on SEN suggested the free kick was actually against Aish and not Sidebottom which is why the ball went to Edwards. I'd have to re-watch it but it was very unusual.
