I was pretty happy to secure Shane Kersten at $75,000. It's pretty well known Geelong have big plans for Kersten in their forwardline in 2014 and beyond having moved on Podsiadly and Chapman. Kersten will be one of those super coach bargain buys next season.

I reckon Kersten will be better value than a bulldogs assistant coach (Corey) however!

When we've only got 10 million to spend on 25-30 players he's exceptional value at $75k. Geelong have confirmed he will be playing seniors in 2014. It remains to be seen if Kersten remains in my best lineup but at that price he's great for depth at the very least.
