Where is Little? Where is Campbell?

We've allowed the media to write article after article over the past month. We've given everyone open slather to bash us and just dropped our pants and accepted it.

The only person to fight it is Hird in press conferences. We've had a letter to the members but nothing much else.

Absolute pissweak by the club. Embarrassing. Its creating a culture of helplessness and the players are showing that.

We need some fire. We need to start fighting back and maybe the us against them attitude can turn it around. This softly softly thing has let down the club, its supporters and most importantly the playing group.

Poor by the club. It seems it's even more poor by the AFL and the AFLPA that they have been truly lacking, at least publicly. Although I expect the AFL don't want the heat off the club and thus the heat off Hird.

Interesting, every time Little or Campbell open their mouths, the Ess faithful on here tell them to shut the hell up and stop drawing unwanted attention to the club.

I was sick of Little replying to every salacious newpaper article with an open letter to fans.

Ignore them all.

Happy for them to go out on the front foot and PR away, but not just in reply to rubbish.

Little doesn't want Hird. He has repeatedly use the media to drive a wedge between Hird and the club either directly or by his silence. He is the type who wants it his way and he'll let the whole thing collapse on itself if it helps him get rid of Hird.

You just need to compare it to Eddie and Collingwood. He fought off the Buckley attackers last year and has gone into bat every single time for one of his own even to his detriment.

Regardless of what our leadership group thinks of one another, they are being attacked by a foreign body and should bunker down and stick together.

Its not helping the players, the supporters, the coach or anyone just to sit meekly idle and wait it out or let the pressure build so something snaps.

I think the entire club- the admin, the coaches, the players, and certainly us supporters- are just dying for the season to end. There's no way we'll come even close to winning any of our last three games, in my view.

Anyway, they can't wait for it to be over and that partly explains the complete inertia I suspect.

Taylor Walker said that the Bombers players were "disagreeing a lot" and seemed to be "not playing for each other". Leadership is lacking on the field too, and while Jobe is the captain and he is away right now he's been playing less and less games since this debacle so others had to step up on that account. That's easier said than done considering what the players are going through though, at least Sloane feels for us.

In the summer just gone it was a case of dotting the I's and crossing the T's, it was that close, player power and finances saved him that time.

Yeah after the afl handed hird the suspension Essendon extended his contract and payed him some of his salary in advance
