Alrighty then, hopefully it's CEY we're looking at.
That's who I think we are looking at, either him or O Brien.
Riley OB is the only one i'd be interested in that list, rest are ball butchers/old or ordinary.
I wouldn't mind a few of them for the right price but that price would be very low haha

I always hoped that would be the case. The draft points system is there for the academy and father son, yet people on these boards make out that an extra 20 points is always an advantage.

At the end of the day, the EFC isn't as braindead as other clubs and there's some good players in this draft so let's just back ourselves to get it right and stop trying to emulate Kevin Costner in Draft Day.
Father son's get a lesser discount funnily enough

Doubt very much the Crows would give up a ruckmen, let alone a young one showing any sort of ability.

Lowden will be SANFL at best, Dear is a fwd and the other bloke, Paul Hunter is likely to be delisted.

We need an inside beast. Brodie is exactly that.
Brodie has always been my boy at #1.

We need a Cripps-type prolific clearance-winning inside midfielder and Brodie is exactly that. Parish, Merrett, Heppell... yeah these guys can win the contested ball when called upon, but it isn't the hallmark of any of their games. We need a bustling clearance specialist to replace Jobe and Brodie looks to be the perfect candidate. Inside mids are the best players in the game (Dangerfield, Ablett, Fyfe, Selwood, Kennedy, Sloane all noted contested ball winners) and also the safest draft choices in my opinion. Think Brodie will be able to better translate his game to the AFL than McCluggage and will also be ready to play senior games quicker than most other draftees (potentially from Round 1 2017 even).

Draft watchers will know better, but unless McCluggage has shown a serious aptitude for winning the contested ball and isn't just a flashy outside type, then I'd be going for Brodie.
We can snare an inside beast with 19 or the likely second rounder we get from the Dee for Hibbo.

He is a Calder boy so could be convinced to move back to Vic, if he wants to leave and we make a good deal then they may part with him.

All very good points. Would be the first guy they elevate this off season. Kid has played some good footy in the SANFL this season

Exactly the type of player we need in our midfield
Agreed. Hard inside ball winning mid. Whats he worth? Probably pick 7-10ish for mine. I'd rather trade down for him if poss. 19 would only get it done if he was dead set on coming to us and was willing to through PSD, but even then it's bad dealings and would leave a sour taste in my mouth.

Getting him would lessen the need for Brodie IMO as that contested beast, allows for drafting McLuggage at #1 assuming we keep that pick.
Yep sounds like a wonderful plan to me.

Not sure what else we could offer maybe next years second rounder with pick 19 which would be fair value if he wants to leave imo
