Bennell to Essendon possible? From what i would have thought it simply wont happen due to the last 3 years and the clubs reputation being destroyed cant see that being a good move bringing bennell it who has his own drug issues

In the way that it's not.
You really don't think Berger for Stanton is a good outcome for Essendon...care to elaborate?

Stanton is worth a lot more in a trade than Atley in the way that Stanton is a good player.
OK mate no need to troll.
If you really think Stanton is worth 'a lot more' than Atley in a trade then you don't know much about football.

Firstly, Stanton is 29 while Atley is 23.
Secondly, Atley played well this year, better than Stanton who is on the decline.

Much as I respect Stanton as a player the idea of losing him does not really concern me.

We still go into next year with Watson, Goddard, Heppell, Myers, Hocking, Cooney and Howlett as experienced players who do not cover the ground particularly well. You really only want the first 5 in the team.

The reality is that something was always going to have to give to help the midfield to get where it needed to go. It kind of makes me want to embrace the rest of the purge. Get rid of Dempsey and free up spots for our quality kids to play (remember that Watson, Zac Merrett, Myers, Hocking and Cooney were not playing for large parts of the second half of the year when some of the younger players were getting games).

Out of all your mids bar Cooney, he is the most dispensable. Cant see it really bothering Woosha.
I mean Essendon are 'refreshing' or whatever you want to call it, so don't see losing a 29 yr old player on the decline being a bad thing, even if he has been a good servant to Essendon.

No over the last few days richmond are looking like his most likely place, been to the club twice in 2 days, but apparently someone said he was metting with you guys not sure how true that it?
Personally, I think he is very much what we need in our midfield.

As far as us getting him, Dodoro said we would do our due diligence but I've heard nothing else apart from that.

He'll be a star if he gets his act together.

No doubt just not sure it would particularly help the Essendon brand from people looking in from the outside

Stanton has played nearly 250 games for the club and hasn't dipped below a 22 disposal average since 2006. He is one of the hardest workers at the club, but we get a not as good version of Bellchambers in return.

He is. Shows how much you've watched North and Essendon this year, Stanton averaged more kicks than Atley did disposals this year, more marks, tackles, inside 50's, clearances and rebound 50's than Atley. Stanton had a far better year and is a far better player than Atley. This has been Stanton's best year since 2011, he is not on the decline. Maybe watch some football before shooting your mouth off and looking like an idiot next time.

It provide ammunition to twats like Caroline Wilson, Damien Barrett and a bunch of internet trolls.

I don't think the club or supporters give **** one about what they think.

Imo the only way I can see Benell at EFC is if Guy McKenna becomes an assistant coach to Worsfold.
