Dempsey would do alright at the swans, I also reckon Steinberg and Pears could find a role as well if they can get back to the press and structure that they've had in years gone by.

North are giving Essendon circa 2004 a run for their money in terms of putting all their eggs in one basket.
Swans sign Pears and Dempsey for a combined 450k.

Does that net us band 3 compensation?

Do any of you see Tom Hickey or Seb Ross as possible trades your club might want? Bit of talk on out board that Hickey is looking around since Longer has passed him and Seb obviously comes from an Essendon family and is Jobe's cousin. He's come on well this year and was tearing it up pre-season before he unfortunately also tore his hammy.
I'd entertain Hickey and 24.

I'd break out the cheese platter and do the can-can for 5 though

Why not? Their list ceases to be finals quality after next year unless they can add to it faster than it ages. They have a list rebuild or refresh or whatever the fashionable term these days is looming anyway, a couple more old warhorses to delist in 3-4 years isn't going to hurt them.

Wed get a handy 2nd round compensation for Stanton not that i want him to go. Think he could find a niche off half back like Boyd for 2 years. However pick 24 would be nice as compensation.
If Stanton compo somehow doesn't get band 3 then bring in the Berger
I don't mind losing him but would much prefer an early 2nd rounder
No chance of band 3 on a two year deal. Band 5 at best, so a pick in the 40-45 range.

As best I can tell no one has gotten an end-of-round pick through regular FA yet. It's been band 1 (immediately after your first round pick) for 4 year deals, band 3 (after second round pick) for 3 years and band 5 (after third round pick) for 2 year deals, on half-decent players in the ~$500k range.

Tippa is a lazy footballer - do not want in our 40 man list.
He played well in the finals. A lot of the aboriginal boys give the impression that they are not trying because of their laconic nature. He may excell in the faster paced AFL. He has great disposal skills.

Any truth in the rumour we are looking at Andrew Moore from port power?. Starved of opportunities considering going home to victoria. Thoughts people??.

I think there might be a chance that we are looking at a player like that.

It looks like we could be losing quite a bit of experience in our midfield with only questionable inside grunt in reserve.
