Schoenmakers will play next year, Gunston is moving up the ground from what I can tell.

Spangher will continue at Hawthorn, especially if Lake moves on.

Anderson and Duryea are miles apart. The former is a classy inside midfielder that will eventually replace Burgoyne, the other is a small defender.
yeah, on further reflection (and rewatching the medal presentation), Shoey aint leaving the hawks :(

Clearly Bennell forgot his birthday was yesterday when saying yes to a medical. Is that a crime?

It's not like he had 364 days pre notice or anything.

4? Smack isn't a ruckman.

He's a forward who can chop out but suggesting he is a ruckman is like believing Carlisle could play ruck.
He's no world beater in the hitout department but I'll still count him. Just not sure what the benefit of having Bellchambers, Giles, McKernan and Leuenberger/Smith over, let's say, Bellchambers, McKernan, Leuenberger/Giles/Smith and Parella/Jarrad Smith in the draft.

Bellchambers is a ruck/forward. He can play both equally as effectively. A young ruck is better for our list profile.
Bellchambers is only good for short bursts in the ruck, which he showed in 2013 where he had his best year as a fwd/ruck. We don't have the luxury to carry a project ruck (unless they're cat b) given how dismal our senior options are.

Bellchambers is a solid hitout ruckman and in 2013 he was splitting time between ruck and forward. A project ruck is exactly what we need. It's something I would have on the list every year if possible.

Weren't you calling for Bellchambers to retire? Has nowhere near the endurance or ground presence required to spend more than 35-40% of his TOG in the ruck. Unless there is a promising American we can sign, the ruck stocks this year are quite awful so we should wait till next year and grab someone like Ladhams.

Yes, but if the medical staff deem him fit to play I'll back them in. I saw a few games of Parella in the Champs and was impressed with his stoppage work, not as much around the ground but he's one I think we could invest in this year.

Gach is a good one, but will go around the 3rd round. I reckon we will be looking at Brown. I reckon we either bid on Flynn with our 4th or take mark kovacevic, another one could be baulderstone not sure how he went this year tho
I'm a fan of Parella, but I doubt Kovacevic gets drafted.

Shane Yarran anyone? Dominates at WAFL level. Has alof of passed issues. By the sounds of a few WA posters he has turned his life around a lot. Could see him kicking 30+ goals at afl level in the right forward line.

Why's that eth-dog a lot of people share ur opinion on Kovacevic. I was really impressed with him early. I haven't seen or even know who Parella is. I agree we need a young ruck to develop. Surely we are the only club that doesn't have a young skinny Ruck hidden away playing 2's. Any info on mature age afl listed guys available via FA next year? I'd draft a young guy and back in Bellchambers to come good next season. We are not winning a flag or even getting close. No point bringing in an over paid injust prone ruck that has shown about as much as Belly

I think Kovacevic has very little scope of improvement from what I've seen. He's not an outstanding athlete nor is he a great contested mark, and he's not even dominating the hitouts at TAC Cup level. Parella is a young ruck from SA and I liked what I saw of him in the champs at the stoppage, and I can see his scope of improvement.
