I'm going to be greedy: it's a shame we're losing 41, which was sort of the designated Mitch Brown pick. Is it a ludicrous idea to try to get two early-mid thirds for 25, if we're so keen on getting both Brown and Hartley?
I'd imagine we won't be going after them too hard. 5 picks in the top 25 in KPP stacked draft. I'd be surprised if we don't get at least 2 KPP from them.

St Kilda have totally dropped the ball on the Carlisle deal should have been done on day one but no they wanted to be greedy and now all they can do is suck on a big bag of dicks. Here Jake we'll offer you a $700k a year 4yr deal but not trade a premium price for you at the trade table....

Waiting for the false bravado of all saints fans trying to convince eachother they are still happy to have pick 5.

I don't care how many flags he gets hawks while we arent in a position to push for one.
I was looking forward to them all talking him up when a deal was done, after a month of running him down. Now it may not happen.

It all depends.

There are immediate holes in the KPP posts in the best 22. So it makes the recruit of at least one mature aged KPP a necessity as far as I am concerned (and I think Hartley is the player).

Having the mature aged replacements given us the opportunity to sit on it for a year if there is no KPP that justifies the investment.

If it turns out that we are reaching to a KPP with any of the first round picks it's going to be a better use of resources to take the clearly better players, especially when we are in a mini rebuild phase and we have virtually no margin for error to ensure we stave off long terms consequences of the draft sanctions (if we had a list like Freo I'd be inclined to load up with KPPs).
