I still think we trade for 2 top 10 draft picks, apart from Marshall I think this years top 10 will be more hit then miss.

Would love mcluggage and Taranto or Ainsworth
Giants have good academy picks in Brander, Spargo and a few others such a Powell next year, hopefully they're interested in trading a 1st rounder this year, if not our best chance would be GC with them likely to have 4 picks inside 15.

After watching todays game we have to take 5&7 if offered. We may miss out on 9.5 out of ten, but pick up two 8.5's. No brainer
Trading pick one could cause years of nightmares watching McCluggage, Brodie, McGrath and possibly Taranto tearing the competition apart for other teams.

Can't have them all anyway.
History says at least one of the top 5 under 18 guns never replicate it at AFL level. I'd prefer to boost our odds with 5 & 7.

Unless there is a clear number 1, which there doesn't seem to be, then trade it for two.

The risk is still there. We take player X and player Y becomes that player tearing teams apart. It seems so close, we have to take 2 for the price of 1

Pick 19 all of a sudden becomes very interesting. I could think of atleast 10 players that could be good value there.
Getting sick of hearing about the same 7 - 10 guys in the top ten. Want to hear more about the guys likely available at 9 onwards

Think we will get people talking about later picks when the afl starts showing individual player highlights when most guys start to get on bandwagons for later players

Would love your thoughts on some of the second round potential guys like Scharenberg, Clarke, Drew. Even Gallucci could be availabe at 19.

37 is further out but anyone take your fancy? Two names I havwnt seen people talk up enough is Brandon Parfitt and Myles Poholke. Both could be available at 37

That is the only position we do not need to recruit for imho
dont think our key back stocks are as great as everyone makes out

Hurley is 27 next year
Hooker will be 28 and no certainty to play backline
Hartley is a gun and should be good for us for the next 8 years
Ambrose is more depth than quality
Francis is being developed as a forward and will probably only be a third tall when back

wouldnt hurt to draft another key position defender and have him developed and ready for the future IMO
