Just thought I would vent my frustration and anger here rather than take it out on my innocent cat!
2 hours ago I tried to pay my gas bill via phone.......seeing as the only available funds I had at the time were coming from my parents credit card........'transaction denied' said the annoying computer voice. 20 minutes and much cursing the 'music on hold' the bank informed us it must be a problem at the gas companies end.
So off the the supermarket we trot - to buy food for dinner tonight and my son's lunch tomorrow.
GUESS WHAT???? SAME FRIGGIN PROBLEM!!!!
The supermarket is in chaos and their friggin computerised systems won't do manual payments because the system just says that payments are being denied - not that there is a problem - just every single person who uses a card doesn't have enough money to do it!!
The store manager can't do anything about it - the bank is saying it is a problem at the supermarket, and gas company - and those companies are saying - contact your bank!!

As I said to the store manager "where has commonsense gone?" - surely these places would have a manual transaction machine still somewhere in the store "on no, we are fully computerised now" he said!
