I can't stand it haha, the amount of kids that used to ask 'who are we versing this week' used to drive me bonkers. That and the amount of people who don't know how to spell lose.

This thread reinforces my decision to retire from teaching VCE English 15 years ago. :(
Oh no! It's intended to reward the implementation of fine prose Chicago! :)

Thanks for doing that Dogwatch, bit of work there.

Nice to have an off-season diversion that isn't internecine squabbling.

destructive to both sides in a conflict.
"the region's history of savage internecine warfare"

deadly, bloody, violent, fierce, destructive, ruinous;

"internecine feuds between aspirants to the throne"
relating to conflict within a group.

The problem with modelling our side off Hawthorn's structure is that their entire game plan and setup is predicated on brilliant foot skills and strong cohesion within the team - we have neither. ..........

With all this quotation of Shakespeare floating around mind = blown

Montgomery said of Beverage and his own new role at Bulldogs:

" One Michael Cassio, a Florentine,
A fellow almost damn'd in a fair wife;
That never set a squadron in the field,
Nor the division of a battle knows
More than a spinster; unless the bookish theoric,
Wherein the toged consuls can propose
As masterly as he: mere prattle, without practise,
Is all his soldiership. But he, sir, had the election:
And I, of whom his eyes had seen the proof
At Rhodes, at Cyprus and on other grounds
Christian and heathen, must be be-lee'd and calm'd
By debitor and creditor: this counter-caster,
He, in good time, must his lieutenant be"

Lol I reckon they are using this pick one of three thing as a set up to get people to accept jumper number 1.
...................
Maybe I'm giving the management too much credit with the Machiavellian strategy I've suggested they are using. After all they haven't exuded an image of competence lately.
I guess yebiga would like this?

Well that's got me flummoxed. There's more than one person that's naive enough to think Jones' problems are because of a poor environment.
I thought this was a particularly good effort.

I don't think I have ever found a use for that word in my entire life. Glad that LJizz could provide a source of inspiration for you Mike. :thumbsu:

Outstanding, didn't even know this was a word :p

Good to see the club are being proactive. And as I said earlier and will reiterate if he cleans up some of his more egregious weaknesses i.e., defensive running and tackling (which may even happen as early as next year), he'll be a vital best 22 player rather than depth.
