Egypt Air Missing

If it were a bomb, it is possible that it was smuggled on the plane from the return flight out of Egypt to France, given a timer set to detonate say 20-30 hours later, and gone unnoticed sitting in the plane in Paris.

France would have tight regulations preventing bombs actually getting on to planes from people already at Charles de Gaulle airport, but if one was already on the plane when it arrived in Paris they wouldn't have had anyway of knowing.

The EgyptAir flight that was brought down in the Sinai was a bomb contained in a can of Solo from recollection.

Egyptian security at airports clearly has flaws as we've seen, and some airport workers may even secretly be aiding Islamic terrorists.

And the French staff didn't notice it?

I wonder if people managing to get into the cockpit is what happened

The plane had a stopover in Tunisia apparently so the bomb might have been planted on board the plane then.

I was actually watching an Air Crash Investigations show last night where there was a bomb on a Philippine Airlines flight to Japan back in 1994.

Luckily the bomb didn't bring down the plane, it only killed one person that was sitting above the bomb. They caught the terrorist mastermind in Pakistan a couple of weeks later and he had plans to bomb multiple American planes and kill thousands of people, the bomb on the Philippines plane was just a test run.

Like 9/11 that was going to be a revenge attack for the US invading Muslim countries and killing Muslims.

Yep, the Bojinka Plot.

Ramzi Yousef, the man responsible (also the nephew of KSM), was a career terrorist. Most terrorists maybe do one act then die as martyers or go into hiding for the rest of their lives. Not this guy. Not only did he plan stuff, he actually did all the 'dirty work' himself.

From 1993-1995 he:
-went to America under a fake name, built a bomb, rented a van, parked it under the WTC in 1993 and killed 6 people in an attempt to knock the twin towers over (sadly others would succeed 8 years later)
-fled to Pakistan, came incredibly close to assassinating the Pakistani Prime Minister, but was obstructed by police so bailed and decided a different plan
-fled again, this time the to Philippines, pretended to be Italian, built a bomb in the lavatory of the plane with a detonater set for 4 hours later, bomb exploded, amazingly only killed 1
-smuggled bombs to a friend in Qatar with diplomatic immunity who was going to put them on another US airliner, friend got cold feet and abandoned the plot
-eventually got caught by Pakistan secret service with bombs found in Childrens toys

The guy had no plans to ever stop. Now he's stuck in some federal prison in America with 23 hours solitary confinement a day and has allegedly converted to Christianity in an attempt to get out of solitary confinement, but they're not buying it.

He also had a plan to assassinate the Pope before he was caught, he was like the Jarryd Hayne of terrorists.

When? It flew direct from Paris to Cairo?

From that article it says the plane went to Tunisia before making the flight from Cairo to Paris and back.

In this day and age where everything including tennis balls has an IP address tied to it and is connected to some sort of network, I find it really odd that planes can still "fall off the radar".

The 'tennis ball' has to be working, switched on and within distance of something that can pick it up.

We haven't reached Star Trek technology yet.

I thought you meant from Paris.

So it went Cairo -> Tunis -> Paris -> Cairo.

Nah it went to Eritrea and Tunisia before flying from Cairo to Paris and back, both those countries are pretty dodgy in terms of security.

They're saying now that the debris they found isn't from the plane, I don't think they've found any debris or bodies from the plane yet.

Sounding eerily like MH370, there were a number of reports back then saying they'd found debris from the plane which turned out to be false alarms.

If it's like MH370 it will end up somewhere where it wasn't supposed to be.

Every disaster gets bullshit reported via wilful disregard of fact checking in the search to be 'first'. "Unconfirmed reports" run wild.

Lol Donald Trump - "If anybody thinks it wasn’t blown out of the sky, you’re 100% wrong."

Who needs to wait for facts or evidence? Probably better invade Egypt just to be on the safe side

Surely it's crashed in the area though. A plane can't make those rapid turns, drop suddenly from 37,000ft to 15,000ft rapidly, vanish under 10,000ft and then regain control to fly secretly on for more hours ala MH370.

You'd think they would have found some debris from the plane by now though, they know roughly where it would have crashed and the Mediterranean Sea isn't a huge body of water like an ocean.
