As far as I can make out it looks a little something like this:

Melbourne in: Steven May, Kade Kolodjashnij, #23
Melbourne out: Jesse Hogan

Brisbane in: Lachie Neale
Brisbane out: Dayne Beams, #5

Fremantle in: Rory Lobb, Jesse Hogan
Fremantle out: Lachie Neale

Collingwood in: Dayne Beams
Collingwood out: #18

Port Adelaide in: #5, #15, Ryan Burton
Port Adelaide out: Chad Wingard, #6

Gold Coast in: #6
Gold Coast out: Steven May, Kade Kolodjashnij

Hawthorn in: Chad Wingard
Hawthorn out: Ryan Burton, #15

GWS in: #18
GWS out: Rory Lobb

Obviously a few more bits to be added to it to balance it up, but that's the bits they've actually put in the article.

Sticking points:
  • Melbourne want more than that for Hogan
  • Brisbane want more than that for Beams, and would prefer Beams deal is not part of the mega deal
  • Collingwood need pick 18 to match bids in the draft

Collingwood don't need 18 to match bids they are better to trade 18 out and get some 40s/50s picks for bids.

The main sticking points there are Beams who I doubt the Pies will pay 2 x R1s for and I doubt Bris pay 5 and Beams for Neale without getting later picks back. The rest is ok.

Suns getting screwed in that deal

On what's proposed its basically #6 for May and a fringe player for fringe player (Kolo for Hombsch). I don't think that's terribly bad.

How? We move up 1 (6-5) spot while taking what we'd already get for Wingard without this mega deal.
Draft night
GC could end up pick 2, 4 , 8,13,16
Adelaide pick 3,19,21,29
St Kilda pick 6,24, 28
Port pick 5 , 10,32

Well that's what they're saying in the article, and it also makes logical sense  What are your alternatives? You can only take as many picks into the draft as you have open list spots.
Apparantely we can use points deficint, and pay them off over time since next year we won't need to spent any points, as there are no other upcoming father/son or academy players.

Article misses the point that we'd rather trade out 18 for 2nds so that we have enough points for NGA and FS. No point risking someone bidding for Quaynor and forcing us into using a first rounder on him

Why on earth would GC trade down one and lose control of pick 5?

They could pick Hombsch up with a 4th or 5th rounder,
Don't worry - GC, Crows and Saints can arrange a nice little draft night surprise for Port after their tough talking this week.

Collingwood reportedly offered there future 2nd with 18 for Beams originally, which we knocked back. This deal actually has them giving less lol.

This is my attempt at a similar deal. Stripped May from the deal as noon swill give more than what they’ll get next year as FA compo.

Missed the #23 pick, must be coming from Fremantle to get to Melbourne, evens up that bit a touch. Still think it won't happen as Brisbane not getting what they want for Beams.

Could add Mayes, Amon and Hombsch to fair up moves too.
