Australian conservatives and US conservatives are very different equations but as you said the assumption and associations stick be that good or bad
It’s still one of my biggest problems with the current political landscape the vast majority don’t know why they are voting for the person they are voting for they just do it generally because of family tradition or working class going red and blue collar going blue
That might of applied in the 70s and 80s but the landscape is completely different
I’ll always respect anyone to choose a party that resonates with them even if I disagree with the politics because at least they have made the time to make an informed choice instead of someone who votes similar to myself because “mum said we are a labor family”
Times and attitudes are slowly changing...
Spesh here in Oz...
Despite the right wing bias in the media to try and make us all trumpeters...
