Woke is more a term used for social based issues. There's also a difference (and takes intelligence to distinguish) between voting for a centre left federal government and believing that left leaning government is batshit crazy far far left. Quite often because if you are batshit crazy far far right, even moderate left looks far left from your position.

I agree in principle. But I always worry it will also lead to nothing getting done without being compromised due to the ability of one group to hold the rest of the government hostage. Just look at the bureaucracy in Europe at the moment in their support of Ukraine, an existential threat to themselves. They all agree in what they have to do but are constantly delayed by weeks or months at a time while they squabble over the crossing t's and dotting i's.

I agree in principle. But I always worry it will also lead to nothing getting done without being compromised due to the ability of one group to hold the rest of the government hostage. Just look at the bureaucracy in Europe at the moment in their support of Ukraine, an existential threat to themselves. They all agree in what they have to do but are constantly delayed by weeks or months at a time while they squabble over the crossing t's and dotting i's.

Libs got their preselections hijacked by the religious nut jobs and ultra conservatives. Their candidates didn't appeal because of it.

They went after the outer suburbs instead of winning back their traditional core from the teals.

Until they ditch the hard liners and religious nuts they'll keep remaining unelected.
