This needs its own thread. This is the only cryptocurrency currently in existence with real world usage. I expect mass adoption within 10 years.

I bought in during the ICO and have been following the project with great anticipation. It seems the CEO Richard Ells' grand plans are finally coming to fruition:

My query with this, like all crypto, why is it needed? Why cant the same thing be done with money instead of some made up currency/token?

What's the usage?

Why don't any other coins have useage?

what makes it different to any other shitcoin out there?

why would you ever think this warrants its own thread when hundreds of other shitcoins don't warrant their own thread?

Their 'head of blockchain' has made 113 contributions in the last year, not even once every three days, and even then it's only very small contributions. He's put in a grand total of about 10 days worth of actual work over the last 12 months. You did know this yeah?

Their subreddit has 23,241 members. For a coin that's been out for almost three years.

Cryptocurrency has 1,053,187 members.

That means that 0.0022% of the crypto community cares about Electroneum. You did the maths on this to determine how engaged the community is yeah?

If the crypto community don't care about this project, and the developers of the project don't care about the project, why on earth would you ever want to shill this as a cryptocurrency that people would ever want to invest in?

In short anyone who buys or holds any of this garbage is throwing their money away.

15 minutes worth of due diligence has shown it's not even close to being considered something investable.

If you want more tips and tricks on how to do due diligence for crypto let me know.

Thats a 10-8 round but i think the ref should stop this one. What a savage beating...

What's the usage?
useage?

Purchase tasks on their gig platform, Anytask

Airtime top ups

Electricity top ups

Purchase other goods and services through merchants that accept ETN as payment

Purchase in-game currencies and Pay TV (coming soon)

Why don't any other coins have useage?

They do have usage. You trade them on exchanges, like stocks.

what makes it different to any other shitcoin out there?

The other shitcoins don't have their own gig platform, partnerships with major mobile network providers and other merchants that accept them as payment, or massive growth potential.

why would you ever think this warrants its own thread when hundreds of other shitcoins don't warrant their own thread?

Thousands actually. I didn't have time to make thousands of bigfooty threads on each cryptocurrency out there, so I picked the one with a functioning ecosystem for real-world use and a realistic prospect of mass adoption.

so what's the latest with this shitcoin fellas?

Their price took an absolute nosedive while BTC posted steady gains.

And their head of blockchain found two spare afternoons to spend time on the project over the last month, taking his collective total to 3 days spent working on the project out of the last 109. The guy that's in charge of developing and progressing the coin's capabilities and the user environment can't even be bothered working on it more than 1 day a month on average over the last 3 months.

In short it's still a shitcoin and anyone who buys or holds it it is an absolute plodder.

Shitcoins come and go. Buy early and convert gains into BTC or a stablecoin, then move onto the next shiny new shitcoin.

When every man and his dog is spruiking the latest shitcoin on social media, it's time to sell your bags.
