Might as well put up some classic 70's!!!!
electronic then John.

Yes nice call. One of, if not the, greatest pieces of music in the history of electronic music. I got that on release (:o) and it is a bigger influance on met than Kraftwerk. At times Oneohtrix Point Never owe a career to Tangerine Dream.

If you are interested in something rather different from teh early days can I recommend Raymond Scott a jazz muso from the 40's through to 60's. He put out a 3 volume series of Electronic albums called Soothing Sounds For Baby. This is the wiki on him

I found a link to Volume 1 a while back and was rather surprised by it considering it came out in 64. Electronic ambient before Eno had even thought of it? Worth looking for;).

The Prodigy were absolutely brilliant again last night. Second time I've seen them and considering the sideshow. I know it's not the 'electro' that is really discussed in this thread but these guys are probally the best entertainers on the planet.

Encourage people to get out to Future or the Sideshow (only 90 bucks IIRC), John Digweed was immense aswell.

The Dance Paradox has been his only album release, but he has quite a few 12 in. releases, but mainly in the UK or more prosperous dance/El. scenes.
