I looked up that 84/85 series the other day it surprised me that Larry Gomes was the leading run scorer for the Windies. Nobody really mentions him as part of that great side.

Craig McDermott had a decent technique. Early on his career he could really swing a bat too, and did well in the few games he was used as pinch hitter at first drop for one dayers. Lost his way later in his career though, possibly a confidence thing
