FFS! Let's be realistic here. He isn't as quick as Mooney and he is a LOT smaller than they report him to be. Whilst that young man walking in front of him on the other hand, now there's one for us... but we can only dream!

Agree with this. If he is talented (and it appears he is) then theres no harm in rookie listing him. If Blair or Kennedy or Thomas or another midget then becomes surplus and have trade value at other clubs then all the better, its always good to have valueable trade bait on your books. Who knows maybe short people are the thing of the future.

Knighta (as much as I respect his opinion) couldn't possibly know that unless he has seen their testing times, I highly doubt he has Mooney's unless he is a club insider.
 
Collingwood need to adopt a simple draft policy:

If you can't go on all the rides at Movie World due to height restrictions, you don't get on the Collingwood list.

We already have too many that have to sit on the bus and wait for the big kids.

This is the sort of excitable exaggeration we can do without. Malthouse is on record as saying he has never seen anyone test with the speed Mooney showed. Edwards is quick, yes, he would be one of the quicker players at Collingwood. But watching junior footage and talking about speed is dangerous. Go watch one of the APS games Scotch is playing and watch him. He is FAR smaller than any other player playing today, both in height and weight. Don't go by recorded numbers go and look at him. Troll the Collingwood website for pictures of him, you'll notice that conveniently he is rarely photographed with anyone besides him.
We did well out of the NSW Scholarship program as Witts will be a good player, but a reality check is needed here for all those who are swept up in this exaggeration bout his speed.

He would be slower than Lewis Jetta and 6 inches shorter!

I love how everyone compares speed vs Lewis Jetta, Paul Roos is on record saying Jetta isn't even the quickest at the Swans over 20 rather it is when he is already in motion hence why Rioli couldn't catch is because Jetta was already on the move and it was an 70m run.

I also think Mooney needs to learn to use this pace on field as he has been caught out a couple times once by Harper and another game earlier in the same season.

I agree with the gist of your post, DTM what if all of edwards opponents are actually ave to slow pace and he is quick he would look like usain bolt due to how slow they are.
