It's honestly the craziest reaction to a line ball decision I've ever seen. Some are saying that the AFL releasing additional footage will help put this to bed - I put it to those people that nothing is changing the majority of these peoples minds. Only the fair and balanced would be convinced at that point and we can all see how few of those supporters follow the Tigs!Far out Richmond supporters are posting their manifestos in that decision thread on their board and asking for the names of the people who were in the ARC. They’ll have to put them into witness protection.
I’m in tears reading that thread. It’s so good.

It was. The argument is that is wasn't conclusive enough, yet we're supposed to go with the decision from an umpire who had such little confidence in his own decision that he called for a review. But the ARC decision was indisputably correct.

Ump would have called “play on“ which what Andrews would have heard, probably a second or two before raising arms, not quite simultaneouslyPlenty have been don't worry. Lynch was clearly off his mark when he took off but it doesn't look like the umpire had signalled anything when he took off. Tough to ping someone for 50 because you're slow to make a call though!
Miles over
Strong QAnon vibes
I gave up after reading 5 pages with just the same angle of footage. Ignoring depth of field as a concept completely.Far out Richmond supporters are posting their manifestos in that decision thread on their board and asking for the names of the people who were in the ARC. They’ll have to put them into witness protection.

Oh well I can't blame them all too much, I'm not too sure our meltdowns wouldn't be all that better.

Yeah its as simple as an x and y marked out through the two or more camers showing the line of the ball. But the ARC decision was indisputably correct.
Nah, Richmond almost caught a break being payed a goal they didn’t kick.Fact of life is that we caught a break.Once the goal umpire called it a goal we were up against it.There is no way that the ARC footage indisputably shows it to be a behind.
If they had followed their standard procedures the decision would not have been overturned.
Can’t blame the fans for being upset but the coaching and senior leadership staff should have put an end to the whining in the media IMO. Could you imagine Fagan sooking about it a week later?Oh well I can't blame them all too much, I'm not too sure our meltdowns wouldn't be all that better.
Just watched the replay - the umpire a bit further away calls play on before this. Doesn’t look like Andrews goes early. After watching Riewoldt on AFL 360 last night and they showed the replay again of the goal review something suddenly stuck out at me. Not sure whether been mentioned and i must admit i had the volume down but noticed when Lynch played on Andrews moved off the mark before the umpire had waved his arms for play on. Not sure whether umpire had called play on before but geez i must admit it looks like it should have been a 50metre penalty. Maybe another thing the Richmond people can be complaining about.![]()
And Lynch himself. 800k a year for that.Like mentioned previously, the lucky ones who have largely escaped scrutiny are the Richmond players on the line that couldn't kill the ball over the line despite being 5 against 1. Richmond were still in front after that Lynch miss...
that is the point people make mistakes. Robbo missed one he normally get at the G a few weeks ago.And Lynch himself. 800k a year for that.
