Thanks Grassy, that’s the answer I was after.
What the last few weeks have shown is that we are mentally fatigued after the extremely poor start to the year and the fight back to get us into a position to attack finals.
With our poor Gabba record this year it has also forced us to play a lot better away from home so I am not scared of having to travel in Finals.
3 weeks in a row of travel may be difficult but it is doable especially with the last week being a Grand Final and motivation enough.
Some mental Demons to sort through over the next couple of weeks, a freshen up would do the world of good.
What side of the draw are we on? If we get through week 1 do we play the loser of 1v4 or 2v3?
Maybe that is the problem, obsessing about it too much, it is a psychological problem which leads to a collapsing of what should be an innate action.Choc said on the Sunday Footy Show that they've been practicing goal kicking at training.

Reville is a much more impactful player as sub or on ground than Sharpy ever will be imo, mostly due to his ball use.I think it's a waste having Sharp as the sub, when his superpower is his endurance. He should be playing the full game, whether it be seniors or reserves, rather than being used as an impact player. As soon as Bruce Reville is fit, I'd be making him the sub.
How about Bulldogs, Saints, Port?Giants, Carlton, Port - v Bulldogs
Bulldogs, Carlton, Either - v Carlton
Bulldogs, Saints, Freo - v Freo
Giants, Saints, Freo - v Bulldogs

If it is the case that they practice it incessantly, then it stands to reason that quality is more important than quantity.Maybe that is the problem, obsessing about it too much, it is a psychological problem which leads to a collapsing of what should be an innate action.
Surely they do the bolded already, aim for a target not a big space, stick 1 post in the middle of the goals and aim for that at training. If it is the case that they practice it incessantly, then it stands to reason that quality is more important than quantity.
Players on the mark, multiple leads and contested marking drills should form part of the same drill(s) as kicking for goal practice.
Not to mention a narrower goal mouth as I've previously suggested.

I'd prefer we find ways to get the heart rate as low as possible as quickly as possible. Not the exact opposite.Less thinking is what is needed, I would like to see someone try a quick routine... mark taken, walk back briskly from the mark turn straight around and run in with as short a run up as you feel comfortable with.
DON'T THINK DO!
Also we should investigate using the new chips in the ball to more accurately determine where the ball is striking the boot, at what angle etc etcI'd prefer we find ways to get the heart rate as low as possible as quickly as possible. Not the exact opposite.
Jon Ralph on fox footy saying that this game is highly likely to be a Friday night game.
Swans v Giants Thursday night and the other 2 Saturday twilight and night.
Yes he hasn't thought this through very well at this stage.Jon Ralph on fox footy saying that this game is highly likely to be a Friday night game.
Swans v Giants Thursday night and the other 2 Saturday twilight and night.
I'd expect we'll see most if not all of them. It's a sudden death final after all.How many of their injured brigade are they likely to have back for this game?
