I got knocked out last year in rd. 4 by a bloke that scored 2100 yet was averaging 1750 so I know it can happen.
In general though it's not common in rd.2
BTW...My opponent will score about 1900 this week

Yeah, you're right I guess. I've been eliminated by a guy that didn't have Ablett and will score about 2140, despite averaging 1799.80 and being ranked 89,667. So yes, it happens.

I can top it, I lost by 6 points. McKenzie and Seaby didn't help, had Corey and Ablett on the bench as well. Tad unlucky.

Based on weekly ranking. Divided into two halves (ie: top ~32K and bottom ~32K). From there, it's random ... anyone from the top half plays anyone from the bottom half.
It should be based on overall rank IMO. And then should be 1 vs 131072, 2 vs 131071, 3 vs 131070, etc. But I guess that'd be much harder to implement.
Must have had a lower overall ranking. The higher overall rank progresses in the event of a draw.

True. Most decent teams would have won their first two games quite comfortably. Does it typically become much harder in the third round? I guess most of the very weak teams are now eliminated. Do I trade to win in eliminator or go for a more long-term perspective? I think I'll look for an overall result and if I happen to win in eliminator so be it.
